Saw the good review in here and decided to book for enjoyable italian dinner for my family since this is our last night in rome and the fork give us 20% discount for a la carte menu and drink included . The staff reccomended us carbonara n black angus so i ordered 2 carbonara for me and my mother and a well done black angus for my father.
Unfortunately, it is not enjoyable dinner at all for us. Had a better carbonara and angus at home since the carbonara is just full of cheese and crispy pork cheek and they put a lot of salt around it that make the food saltier than ever while the angus is seemed like frozen meat which is dry. Didnt make any complain because its already late and a tiring day for us with this disappointing food. We finish the food only because it is really expensive. whats more it took us 20 to 30 minutes long until they served the food to us even though only 3 tables is full and the cook can still have chatting time with the waiter. And they charged us the full price which is in total is 42.5 (2 carbonara €11×2, black angus €18, still water €2.5). Come back again to claim the discount and they just give me 6 euro back while it should be 8.5 didnt want to argue again.
I could give 3 stars for the friendly staff even though sometimes they are showing rude gesture like laughing at the othe customer because she was really hungry of waiting the food and starting to eat the leave for decoration dishes instead, but sorry. You lost 2 stars for showing dishonesty of corrupting 2.5 euro from your customers. Never going back again. For those who's read this review and looking for fresh pasta try this restaurant next to the carefour express in sebastiano veniero, forgot the name but i took away frutti di mare from this restaurant on the last day, it cost you $2 euro more than the seafood pasta they have here (which only vongole) but it is really fresh and delicious :)
And whatever your response Le Felizianerieri. The God, you and me know what you did that evening. And please dont response in italian since your english seems really good...
Read moreThe owner/cashier was dismissive when we tried to ask him how his restaurant worked. We took a while to order food since it was busy, but when we finally sat down, he proceeded to talk rudely about us to other patrons in Italian.
It was very obvious what he was doing. The other patrons kept looking at us and we were able to understand that he was complaining about us not knowing how things work. He even went so far as to ignore us when we left, whereas, he told every other customer before us goodbye or something of that sort.
If you are visiting the Vatican or traveling to Rome, I would NOT recommend this restaurant. The owner is not friendly to anyone except local Italian folk.
EDIT to reply to owner’s response: The cashier not greeting us is a minor point to paint the entire picture of our experience.
When we walked in and asked how does your establishment work you replied “if you find a table you can sit there”. One of us stayed back to hold our table while the rest of us ordered food. We were taking long since there was a long line, but you assumed the person holding the table was not buying anything until you both came to an understanding.
The major issue here is your lack of professionalism by negatively talking about your customers to other patrons in a language we couldn’t understand. In your reply you ignored to address that point, but I...

In 2022, I and some friends were in Rome and found Forno Feliziani. As is always the case, restaurants off the beaten tourist path are better and cheaper. This restaurant belongs in that class, but is surprisingly close to the entrance of the Vatican Museum.
I'm writing this in 2024. Two full years later, our first goal after reaching Rome was to get to this restaurant as quickly as possible, and that's exactly what we did. Revisiting old favorite monuments and discovering new ones took a back seat to lunch. And we returned again the next day because it would have been doubly stupid to have had lunch anywhere else. It's that good. Is this restaurant as important as the Colosseum? Tough call, that.
The ingredients are fresh, the menu varies from day to day, and the range of things they offer is bewilderingly large (including the bewilderingly good desserts). In the back of the restaurant, where you'll join the line, you can look through a large window and see the oven masters working.
Why are you still reading this drivel? You have...
