Closest to Vatican. Safe for Family. Comfortable.
We stayed as a family of three, you are in an apartment that has a safety door to get into the lobby, then from there you go into the apartment which has three separate rooms. You never hear or see the other guests which is good for privacy. You always feel safe all the time.
Location is unbeatable. I am not kidding it’s a 2min walk (1.5 blocks) from the entrance of Museo Vatican. This is only the entrance to the Musuem and Sistine chapel.
You cannot enter the St Peter’s Basilica from this entrance, for that you have to walk about 3-5mins to the proper entrance. It’s so close you can see the Vatican as soon as you exit the Sweet Stay Rome building
Lots of restaurants, pharmacies and gelato near by.
Our host Lulu was helpful and clear in communication and instructions even though we never met her in person. Here’s how it worked we got the instructions in the morning before we arrived, while you “check in” there is someone helping you access the building and apartment there is a big safety door to get into the building, from there you go up 1 level to get to the apartment you get a code to access the apartment and once in, there is a little communal area to get to all three rooms you have a key to get into your room your room is self sufficient (toilet, fridge, beds and table)
You get all the instructions on how to enter the room. The room was big and clean. Only thing I’d improve is another seat or bigger table to eat in case you eat in.
The apartment is one floor up, you can either take the lift or use the stairs. Stairs to apartment was super wide.
Everything else was fine, clean and comfortable.
If you want to see other parts of Rome it’s also walkable. One day we walked all the way to Trevi fountains, Pantheon and Spanish steps from the apartment. It took 20-30mins of scenic walking...
Read moreSweet stay in Rome, really was a sweet stay in Rome! Me and My Girlfriend stayed at this property to celebrate my 21st Birthday 27th Feb. - 2nd March 2018 and I could not fault it. After being apprehensive of staying in a guest house as this was our first time we were greeted by Marco the owner who was lovely and very friendly. He ha already sorted us a private transfer from the airport and we were greeted with champagne and a thorough informative talk about the surrounding area/how to get to the sights.||||The room was like having your own apartment which was very stylish and modern, rooms were cleaned each day and are very spacious. Breakfast was free in a café across the street and the food was fantastic with a range of pastries, drinks and even a full English breakfast available.||||The location is fantastic with the Vatican city literally across the road and a metro station 500 metres away which the Spanish steps were only 2 stops away for designer shopping and the coliseum/trevi fountain only 5 stops away. We purchased a 72 hour Roma pass which gave us unlimited metro use for 3 days for 16 euro each.||||I would definitely recommend this accommodation for couples and its a...
Read moreI travelled to Rome with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary as it is our favourite city in the world. We were offered the opportunity for a taxi to collect us from the airport that would be 50 euros. We were very pleased to be met by Ricardo who was very good and escorted us to a very smart Mercedes and we drove in comfort to the door. It is possible to get a standard taxi for 30 euros but we both felt it was worth the extra money to have no hassle and no waiting. The room itself as many guest houses in Rome is more like a self contained apartment. It was extremely nicely decorated and had a beautiful bathroom . The bed was really comfortable and when the shutters were closed you couldn't hear a sound. You receive vouchers to a beautiful coffee shop across the road that serves amazing coffee and pastries or toasties for breakfast! Gorgeous!! You need to do a lot of walking to walk off the extra calories !!! It isn't necessary though as the metro that can take you around the city is just a few minutes away. We did experience a problem with our room but the owner of the hotel couldn't do enough to correct it. We will look forward to returning to Rome...
