Neighborhood sandwich shop, fresh homemade wine and incredible people.

Food: sandwiches were outstanding. Not over stuffed, every ingredient had a purpose, each individually was great, but together they were amazing. Fresh bread had the perfect amount of chew and size for mouth bites. What can I say, the sandwich was amazing and should be what every sandwich looks up to.

Wine: great and refreshing after a long walk, served chilled either in a half later or smaller Graf. The wine is young but perfect for afternoon drinking. Go red!!

Service: the two gentlemen behind the counter provided first class service. We couldn't speak a word of Italian but they did their best and took care of us. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be back here every other day.

Don't assume that this is the best food that you'll ever eat because it's not, and not that type of place. It's an amazing sandwich, I have done that profession a service, they honor food and they should be rewarded. They have reasonable prices, great service, and a wonderful place to experience everything that Rome has to offer. It gets five stars for all of those things. A comfy restaurant with very tasty breads and wine. Ate lunch bread here two days in a row and would definitely visit again if going to Rome/Testaccio again.

We managed to order wine and breads without speaking or understanding too much Italian but that didn't matter all as the owner was a super nice and understanding even if he didn't speak that much English.

Very cheap and tasty, we paid around 11 euros for two big sandwiches and a around 600ml of wine (even though he said it was half a liter). Wine was great as well. Lots of options for fillings, also some other meals...

Everything on offer looked really inviting so I asked the friendly staff to prepare a mix of local meat and cheese for my partner and I. We also tried their red wine (produced at the family vineyard!), fresh bread, and a cheesy lasagna with mushrooms and artichokes. The food was DELICIOUS and such a general portion that we had to ask them to wrap up the leftovers for us.
