Terrible experience, you've been warned! We were a group of 7 people looking for a place to have dinner. After several days of pasta and pizzas, this seemed like a good option. As we were stepping in, the place looked fun and cool with the unique decor and the floor-level seating. We were seated quickly and were given instructions on how to order in this "all you can eat" restaurant. This is when the nightmare began. We submitted our first order for assorted dishes, none except for the fried rice looked similar to the pictures in the menu. The portions were significantly small and looked a lot less appetizing than in the menu. Some of the food arrived and some didn't. When we started working on our second order we received a "warning" from our waiter that there's still "a lot of food coming". This was offensive and rude since we didn't go overboard and ordered just a little from everything, all of which we finished. The waiter still thought we ordered too much. On the second round they decided the cut our orders in half. A serving of 4 spring rolls was changed to 2, and I'm sure this is not an accident but rather a policy as it happened more than once. They just didn't want to serve us food. 20 Euros per person is a hefty price tag and can get you A LOT of food in any Italian restaurant, but not them. They were skimpy. Some of the things we ordered never arrived and some got delayed on purpose. Other dishes we ordered arrived cold. When we sent them back, they simply took them and never brought back a replacement. The dishes that did come to the table were mediocre at best. The sushi rolls had microscopical vegetables in them, and the vast majority was rice. We couldn't feel anything but disappointment and annoyance at the service and quality of the food. The waiters who received complaints from other tables nearby could care less. When we asked for the check, the system became extremely efficient and we received it in under a minute, however they took the credit card and charged it in the back instead of bringing the machine to the table - a big no-no. If you've read this far you must know that I don't recommend this restaurant. How this place continues to receive favorable reviews on Google and other review sites is questionable in my opinion. With the number of dishes that we saw going back to the kitchen and the frowning faces of people around us, this place has "tourist trap" written all over it. I would recommend that you spend your hard-earned money elsewhere and not in this unethical...
Read moreComing from North America where we get a lot of authentic sushi masters from Japan, my expectations for this sushi restaurant was not high. Unfortunately, I was disappointed beyond words. The first thing about sushi, even at all you can eat locations, is that the salmon should be fresh - it wasn't! Not only that but the rest of their fish was slimy and unflavourful. This only happens when fish has been left thawed for a long time. It also doesn't look good to see their kitchen staff preparing raw salmon on a dirty kitchen table.
Next, let's talk about the food.... Regardless of whether you are one person (me in this case) or three people, they give you the same portion size even if you write it down for one portion. I even tried to write "small size" but this did nothing. Ordering 2 pieces of tempura shrimp does not mean 8 pieces of tempura shrimp and ordering a rainbow roll means including avocado on the roll like in the picture.... Service was rushed and ok, food quality was absolutely crap. The sushi rice was hard and was not seasoned well. I guess you get what you pay for and unfortunately, sushi in Rome will not be something I come back to. If I were you, I'd rather pay a little more and find an authentic Japanese restaurant...
Read moreClean restaurant, that's a fact. But that's all the compliments they'll have. Got in, got met with a shouty 'RESERVATION?!' not even a 'hi!'. Asked for glass of tap water, before ordering my actual drink, as I wasn't feeling that well, they refused it saying they don't do that (why would you refuse tap water to anyone who is paying to be seating in your restaurant? We were paying for drinks anyway. Just a bloody glass of water!) The service was rushed. Salmon Cerviche - stay away from that, it's 8 slices of salmon swimming in horrible and cheap olive oil. Tuna Tataki... swimming in the most horrible and greasy sauce ever, very different than the given picture on the iPad. The pork Katsu was OK. Too much algae. Miso soup was extremely salty. The green soy beans were served cold. Staff interrupting ones multiple conversations by 'posso!' when removing the empty plates - it's an empty plate, why do you need to ask me for permission to remove it. Take it without asking. Will not come back. Have eaten in some really good All You Can Eat, and the staff has always been really nice and kind. This restaurants staff? Not so much. The place is clean and the sushi is fresh. But that's all. You end up paying more than you should because the...
