Worst restaurant ever, the service was poor, the waiter only brought one meal, we were two people. I ordered a bandeja paisa and chicken dish. The bandeja paisa was awful, full of grease, a fried arepa, gross! Bandeja paisa doesn’t have a fried arepa. the chorizo was tasteless, the carne molida was gross, it was bits and pieces of fried ground beef. The chicharrón was full of fat and greasy. The chicken dish was also disgusting. I had to go get it because they never brought it. The 2 empanadas I ordered were tasteless, full of flour. I asked to speak to the manager and a short Peruvian lady did not want to admit she was the manager. She lied to me and said the manager wasn’t there. Still she charged me 50 euros after my complaints. Also the place is like a burning hell, it’s hot downstairs. They have no air conditioning. They have 2 fans. Last thing, we were sitting by a storage room, they kept opening and closing that door and leaving it open. They were taking raw food out of there in plastic bags. Some very poorly dressed looking people kept coming in and out. They looked as if they needed to shower. They smelled sweaty. And they kept leaving that door open. They offered no apologies. AVOID THIS PLACE. This DOES NOT represent Latin food. It’s DISGUSTING! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! They are shameless and they hide bad reviews with fake reviews and photos.

I had the pleasure of trying the ceviche at this cozy and vibrant spot on Via del Castro Pretorio, and it did not disappoint. The presentation was colorful and inviting, served on a generous platter with a variety of traditional accompaniments—lettuce, sweet potato, cassava, Peruvian corn, and boiled potatoes—making for a well-rounded and authentic Peruvian dish.

The ceviche itself was fresh and flavorful, with tender fish cubes marinated in a zesty, citrusy leche de tigre sauce, topped with red onion and herbs. The balance between acidity and spice was just right—bright without being overpowering. The side elements added texture and depth, especially the smooth sweet potato and firm cassava.

I paired it with a cold beer, which complemented the dish perfectly on a warm day out on the patio. The service was relaxed but friendly, and the atmosphere—outdoor seating under the shade—made for an enjoyable dining experience.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars is that while the dish was delicious, the flavors could have been dialed up just a notch for an extra punch. Still, this is a place I would happily return to, especially to explore more of their Peruvian menu.

Highly recommended if you’re in Rome and craving Latin...

Buona sera a tutti, la mia esperienza con il ristorante il Nord è stata un’esperienza molto negativa perché incominciamo dal dal servizio pessimo perché era è successo che sono stata domenica 31 agosto con una mia amica Se hanno preso del tempo per servirci e poi il piatto che avevo chiesto io nel menù che c’era, mi hanno detto c’è nel menu dopo quando mi è arrivato il piatto, mi hanno portato apposta del verso fritto mi hanno portato Mi hanno portato una chuletta di cerdo, cosa che non avevo chiesto, non c’erano tante cose che che che c’erano, che che dicevano che ci stava nel menu che poi alla fine non c’era poi quello che avevamo chiesto, la mia amica che ha chiesto un pollo niente di che in tutto ciò abbiamo pagato 84 € e in due persone non abbiamo mangiato manco il pesce abbiamo mangiato persino fino male, perché siamo stati anche male tutte e due che c’è mancato pochissimo di andare all’ospedale perché la qualità del cibo è pessima. La qualità del cibo in quel ristorante è pessimo è un ristorante che non lo consiglio, anzi eravamo pure seduta fuori dopo leggendo le recensioni degli altri che vengo a scoprire che per essere seduti fuori bisogna anche pagare 15 € questo non lo sapevo non posso che però non lo commenda nessuno tra l’altro non ci puoi mangiare manco fuori perché è pieno di colombe che non vanno bene questa tra l’altro portano malattia e le colombe stanno là che ti rosicando il cibo pure abbiamo chiesto una limonata che sembrava +1 un’acqua e sughero per quanto era dolce e senza limone Alla conclusione è stato una esperienza pessima. Non lo ricomincio andare lì a mangiare a buttare i soldi per niente, 84 € ci hanno fatto pagare i No ci volevano manco fare lo scontrino perché la signora mi ha fatto uno scontrino a me che se un commercialista mi ha fatto uno scontrino soltanto battendo la cifra tutto l’importo però no, no dichiarando ogni cosa che avevo preso anche su questo c’è da verificare sarebbe buono mandarli a loro la Guardia di Finanza perché non sono onesti non sono corretti magari una volta in un tempo loro erano persone corrette ma oggi come oggi non più non più e questo è tutto quello che c’ho da dire da questo posto esperienza pessima è il mio voto è uno su tutto, perché anche il servizio è scadente. Il sanitario è scadente un posto che non lo commento per niente...
