Hostaria deā Pastini is nothing short of extraordinaryāa hidden gem in the heart of Italy that exudes charm, warmth, and an authentic Italian dining experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a cozy ambiance that beautifully blends rustic elegance with a touch of old-world charm.
The staff is a true testament to Italian hospitality. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their craft, they ensured every moment of our visit was exceptional. Our server not only guided us through the menu with enthusiasm but also shared delightful stories about the origins of some dishes, adding a personal touch to the experience.
The star of the evening, of course, was the food. Every dish was a masterpiece. The pasta was cooked to perfectionāal dente, just as it should beābathed in rich, flavorful sauces that celebrated the best of Italyās culinary heritage. The Carbonara was the best Iāve ever had: creamy, perfectly seasoned, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The seafood risotto was equally divine, bursting with the flavors of the sea and paired with a glass of crisp white wine.
Dessert was the grand finaleāa Tiramisu so light and luscious that it felt like a cloud on the palate. Paired with a perfectly brewed espresso, it was the perfect end to a flawless meal.
The wine list deserves its own praise. Itās extensive, thoughtfully curated, and features a range of local wines that perfectly complement the menu.
Hostaria deā Pastini is more than a restaurant; itās an experienceāa love letter to Italian cuisine and culture. Whether youāre a traveler seeking authentic flavors or a local looking for a perfect evening out, this is the place to go.
Bravo to the team at Hostaria deā Pastini! I canāt wait to return and relive this magical...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wish I could give positive feedback like everyone else here two months ago but my experiences has been starkly different.
I ordered the risotto di scampi and it came looking very dull and colourless so i thought ok not the best looking but maybe itāll taste good but of course as iāve suggested, it was horrible. The risotto tasted like water and cheese with tomato sauce and the prawns were extremely powdery and watery and some even tasted like they were decomposing! I spat them out to protect the rest of my trip here in Europe.
Lastly, the service was bad because the waiters donāt even greet or show any courtesy because they are just very straight to it like theyād just give you your plate without anything which im ok with cuz maybe some restaurantsā service arenāt as open but it kept happening over the night so it felt like these waiters just wanted us to eat and gtfo.
Although even that didnāt seem right because when we asked for the bill they took 10 min to bring it to us even after calling twice and they threw the tab into our table with no words and then once weād paid, we had to wait another 5 min for the change! bro that is such a waste of time i really donāt care whether theyāre happy with us or not but please donāt waste our precious time.
It was one of the worst dining experiences Iāve ever had in Europe after travelling through 14 countries and Iām really sad that it had to be like this. I really wish it was like all the positive reviews the others have given but it seems like this place has already been ruined and it does not deserve another chance for now.
Iām not even kidding, that risotto belongs in the trash. The amariciana was OK but i can honestly cook better at home with basic ingredients. Sigh this is really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly this was the most disappointing dinner we had during our trip to Rome. I donāt normally fall for tourist traps but my partner liked the look of the place and it had some good reviews, so we decided to give it a go.
Maybe it was because we didnāt look like typical rich tourists, but the service towards us was extremely cold and not attentive at all. We ordered antipasti and primi, but we never received the antipasti until after our pasta arrived, meaning we had to put the plates aside to eat the antipasti first. In addition, my partner received the wrong starter, and when raising it with one of the waiters was told we were wrong and had received the right thing.
While we were eating, we couldnāt help but notice each and every table around us was being hassled by the waiters for a 20% tip when they received the bill. Tipping is fine, but in Italy is at the dinerās discretion, and this felt extremely heavy handed.
As it happened, we had to ask three times for our bill (while other tables around us received theirs immediately) and this was the only time we had any warmth from the servers. Perhaps in recognition of the poor service we received, we were given free limoncello however neither of us wanted this so it went wasted. Like clockwork, we too were asked for a 20% tip. When we declined, the waiter serving us shouted to his colleague in the back āthis table arenāt leaving a tip because they think the service was badā. Sadly for them I speak fluent Italian and knew exactly what he said. It left a very poor taste in our mouths.
Food was adequate and wine was good, but suffice it to say we donāt recommend this restaurant at all and wonāt...
