Definitely not a place for Americans. They seem to cater to high end Italians which is fine, but make it known. We were staying at the grand palace hotel, which is just around the block and they booked us a reservation for dinner at 8 o’clock. We arrived a few minutes early, well dressed, but we did have on sandals and they almost did not let us in because of the dress code requirement. It was a super awkward coming in because clearly they were fighting over whether or not to allow us in. we were literally the first people in the restaurant …like no one was there and they were still getting things organized for service, but they all were looking at us and talking about us in Italian, kept pushing the tablecloth underneath the table to cover our shoes! Soooo uncomfortable! We ordered food anyways and carried on with our dinner but I have to tell you it was the most awkward experience I’ve had and I’m a truly super easing going person but man did they rub me the wrong way. The food was OK nothing special. In fact there were some other restaurants that we went to that were super random that had a way better food and the service was way better. We ordered the château Briand for two medium and it was quite literally raw…like RAW. At that point many of the other guests began to roll in, of course wearing jeans, T-shirts and sneakers, not nearly dressed or presented in the way that we presented ourselves, which honestly pissed me off. You were not gonna let me in because I was wearing fancy sandals but you’re gonna let this dude in wearing jeans a T-shirt and literally air Jordans (insert eye roll) we got our check and left. We have been in Italy for 10 days and have been all over Rome, all over the Amalfi coast Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, and it was by far the most expensive meal with the least impressive food…..def skip and pick another place. It’s really too bad because restaurant is gorg and area is quaint but def...
Read moreI had the opportunity to dine at Jackie O' in Rome and I must say that it was a really pleasant experience. This restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary touch, creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant is well designed, with warm lighting and sophisticated decor. The comfortable sofas and the relaxing atmosphere create a perfect environment for a romantic dinner or a meeting with friends. The cuisine is a fusion of Mediterranean flavors, with Italian dishes, fish and vegetarian options. Each dish was a pleasure for the palate, with well-balanced flavors and elegant presentations. The staff is extremely kind and professional. They went out of their way to ensure that my experience was enjoyable, answering all my questions and offering suggestions on dishes to try. The service was fast and accurate, adding a touch of class to the whole experience. The aperitifs and cocktails are exceptional. The variety of drinks available is impressive, and every drink is prepared with attention to detail. The restaurant is located in the heart of Rome, making it easily accessible both on foot and by car. It's a perfect place for a special evening or for a meeting with friends. In summary, Jackie O' is a place where luxury, comfort and high quality cuisine meet. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Rome and looking for a unique and...
Read moreFood massively overpriced, lacking imagination and taste !! Asparagus limp and cold and beans stone cold and limp, served with a fish for 2 for 120 euros that was bland and tasteless !! Our friends ordered a side dish of chips to accompany their steak that was no more than a cone of cheese and chive crisps that were like Pringles at 10 euros, although we would have preferred those!! They were even soogy !! We ordered a T bone steak but it was more like a flash fry minute steak, asked for it to be cooked medium but it came well done as it was so thin !! Couldn’t wait to get out as it was the worst meal we have ever had for the money paid ! We ordered some more drinks that never turned up and when we tried to tell the waiter how bad the food was he didn’t seem bothered at all !! Avoid this as a restaurant at all costs, unless of course you...
