Kombeer — Restaurant in Rome

Service was dreadful. I wonder if maybe the other great reviews are meant for a different place or different management, because our experience was the polar opposite.

The first red flag was when we arrived after opening time only to be told that it hadn’t been cleaned yet and to come back later (“10 minutes”).

When we were eventually seated, they tossed a QR code to us which took us to a website that had beers and the food. (You have to hope your phone signal is strong enough to open the site & to be able to translate.)

One of the staff then came by after a few minutes and took our beer order. At no point after that did they check in to see if we wanted to order anything else (like food). Instead they stood around drinking, even though I did try to catch their eye a few times.

4€ per una coca piccola... 2€ per una ciotola di Patatine. A parte I prezzi gonfiati il locale è piccolo e stretto, mette un po di claustrofobia. Consiglio il pub dall'altra parte della strada.

Risposta per il proprietario: Dato che google non mi fa rispondere direttamente al commento, sono costretto ad usare questo metodo.

Prima di tutto il menu non ci è stato offerto quando ci siamo seduti a tavola per ciò non abbiamo potuto valutare l'effettivo costo sproporzionato.

Secondariamente non ho mai attaccato la vostra cucina non avendola provata, la ciotola di patatine era in bustina (di quelle piccole piccole) e la cosa che mi ha turbato è stata trovarla al supermercato a 50 centesimi. Ora non dico di metterle allo stesso prezzo perché sarebbe irragionevole, ma 1€ frutta comunque.

Inoltre il locale non è "basso" ma stretto, e fuori 30 persone non entrano nemmeno se fossero tutti contorsionisti professionisti, basti pensare che noi in 10 occupavamo tutto il posto disponibile.

Infine vorrei farle notare come l'attaccarmi personalmente e consigliarmi un dottore per i miei problemi di vista non impatta per nulla in maniera positiva sul suo locale, ma mostra come non sa accettare una critica (anche se devo ammettere un po sbrigativa) e comportarsi in maniera adulta.

Edit 3 Trovo il cancellare la sua risposta alla mia recensione originale un atto di codardia e una maniera tipicamanete italiana (aimè) di cercare di nascondere la propria responsabilità. Per fortuna ho un trascritto della sua risposta che riporterò nel prossimo paragrafo. Purtroppo non è uno screenshot, quindi non inconfutabile come prova, ma lei, io e google sappiamo la verità:

Was a little apprehensive at first as the exterior looks a little shady compared to other restaurants around Rome. Boy was I wrong!! The service, food and overall experience was amazing! I had their version of a sandwich, which consisted of grilled veg and mozzarella between 2 focaccias - honestly the best food we had in Rome!! It was DELICIOUS!
