Not a fish and chip place but a whole dining experience. We tried to walk in on a Saturday evening. No room inside or on the pavement tables. We booked for Sunday evening. The choice of both cooked and carpaccio (raw) fish and shell fish was extensive. Our hostess was very welcoming and remembered not having room for us the previous evening. Starters were served as starter or tapas sized portions. The food was excellent. Being a quiet evening service was very personal and we were able to have discussions with our hostess about food and drink. Apparently they see very few tourists and so the food catered to locals. Read moreAs my lunch reservation was a bust, we had to walk around checking other restaurants in the area. As it was a holiday, all of them were closed until we stumbled upon this gem.
We had bruschetta di mare (toasted bread with seafood topping), Impepata di cozze (Mussels with Peppers) and squid stew as starters. Then it was followed up with Polpo verace alla brace (grilled octopus), Calamaro farcito (stuffed squid), Gnocco di patate fatto in casa (gnocchi), and house made Tagliolino all'uovo fatto in casa. Excellent seafood all around and quite filling. The vino Indio was perfect to round out the meal.
