Ristorante Pizzeria Da Marco — Restaurant in Rome

Absolutely worst restaurant I've ever visited in Italy. The food was extremely disappointing. The pizza tasted like it was days old, and the service was bad. Don't get me started on the state of the toilets. The kitchen was unsanitary, one guy came in with some cubed ice in a big shopping plastic bag and after putting the ice in a bucket in the kitchen, he put it in the trash bin with his hands digging shoving in the bin and directly started touching utensils in the kitchen without washing his hands. Also, upon paying, the card reader would not accept our mobile pay, and all we needed to do was use the physical cards, instead of expressing this, the waiter became so rude about it without trying to fix the problem started shoving and pushing the card reader at my friend whilst looking to the side. I absolutely would not recommend it. If anything, the city is better off without this restaurant. Avoid at all costs. I did not even take pictures of the food because we were just so shocked at how bad the experience was. I can't say anything nice about this place expect maybe they have a beautiful giant mirror for taking pictures in, but that does not trump...

Felt like tourist trap.

TL;DR: Food not great, different from what we ordered, overcharged and rude waiter.

My wife ordered bruschetta and Gnocchi bolognese. I ordered suppli and milanese beef. Waiter asked if fries was ok so I said yes, as the beef foto had the fries.

Bruschetta was ok, nothing special. Suppli was overfried, not tasting good.

Waiter brought Gnocchi 4 formaggi, not what we ordered but my wife was ok with that, and the fries that supposed to come with the beef.

Gnocchi looks and taste very industrialized.

A couple minutes later, he brought me a pork chopp asking if I would like it, which I instantly said no, that I was waiting for the beef. At this moment I thought he forgot to order my beef.

Ten minutes later he comes with the milanese, but it was CHICKEN, and he suddenly disappeared.

Other waiter, very rude, asked if there was something wrong and I explained that I ordered beef, no chicken. I asked to cancel my order as we had to leave in a few minutes.

He brought the check and when I while I was reading it he loudly said "the beef is not charged!", which I replied "oh, thank you sooo much!".

But the fries YES, that one...

DO NOT GO HERE!! €93 SCAM!!

If I could give this review 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusted. My friends and I went to this restaurant for drinks and a snack. We ordered our drinks and said please could we order 2 portions of fries. The waiter (which could have been the owner) insisted that we have a sharing platter instead. He came across as such a lovely man but do not be deceived. We were completely fooled and said yes. Big mistake. We had the sharing platter which was pretty much full of frozen food. It was okay. Shall I tell you what wasn’t okay… THE BILL. That sharing platter was €93!!!!!! (Please see picture below of sharing platter) The waiter knew exactly what he was doing. He didn’t show us the bill. Just the card receipt. It wasn’t until we asked for the bill was when we saw how much this platter was. The bill broke down how much each item was on the sharing platter. There were 4 olives on there which cost €8 each!!! €8 each!!!! Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT GO...
