A beautiful, traditional Italian restaurant! All the food is delicious and for a very good price! This place is a family owned, local restaurant. There’s one man manning the floor, he is the owner and the kindest down to earth man. He speaks little english but he makes huge efforts to. His menu has english language translations but if you look around, you’ll see that most of his customers are actually Italians.
We had the most delicious dinner and experience with the owner! So much so that we returned the next day and the next and the next :-D. It was close to our hotel and a little off the beaten path.
We have eat penne and spaghetti and risotto and pizza and meat and beans and chickpeas... Grilled cheese "molisane" is perfect! Owner pounded his heart with his fist showing it was from his home town as well as olive oil and limoncello. We drank excellent white wine of the house that was perfectly chilled.
At the end of the almost every meal that we had, owner treated us to a shot of their Italian liquor and house made biscuits. I highly recommend you visit this charming and wholesome restaurant! Sorry I don't have more food photos!

Read moreI have nothing but the best things to say about this restaurant. My husband and I wanted to try a place that was good without having to wait long queues on a Saturday night. So we saw this place with fewer reviews but good reviews and have it a try. Thank goodness we did.

I ordered the pesto linguini (12€) and it was the best pasta I’ve had in Rome so far. I have tried other famous places according to google which lead to disappointment. However, this place didn’t over-salt the food, the pasta is al dente and hot, and the portion is generous. Chilo mentioned that next time, I need to order the carbonara as that’s one of the customer favorites.
At the end of the meal, Chilo treated us to a shot of their Italian liquor and two house made biscuits. This man, made it experience more than...
Read moreMy mum and I read the reviews before arriving and were a little apprehensive that our lack of Italian would cause a problem . The opposite was true . This is a gorgeous Italian owned , Italian run restaurant , full of Italian’s which is always a great sign . We tried our best when ordering ( with the help of google translate) but the owner was able to understand ! We ordered pasta and my mum had the sea bass . I had an Aperol spritz and she had a glass of white wine . My mum describes the fish as being the nicest piece of fish she has had in a very long time and my pasta was to die for . The ambience and atmosphere was very laid back and authentic . When we paid the bill the owner arrived with Italian liquor and biscuits . This has been a highlight of Rome and somewhere I will recommend to friends when visiting Rome ! ( the total cost of the meal was €53, which is amazing in...
