My favorite meal from my whole trip to Roma!

Flavorful food that's clearly a popular place with the locals and had a bustling lunch business. Came around 1:30 and it was packed but only had about a 10 minute wait to get a table. Menu changes but expect Pastas and Secondi between €5-10 Euros, glasses of wine around €4. Husband had a really nice gnochetti with an amazing tomato sauce (sugo) and I had some meatballs in an amazing lemon sauce. Added a couple of simple but delicious veggie sides (sauteed greens with red pepper flakes and cauliflower with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon) which my husband said were his favorite dishes so far. Wifi was flaky, and service was relaxed (takes a little bit to get your order taken or the check to come) but it was a great neighborhood experience. Would...

If you are searching for a real authentic italian cuisine, this is the place.

It's not your typical fancy gourmet place, it's simply traditional cuisine, but the experience it's worth it. And the place, at least during the evening, it is packed.

The staff is really friendly, attentive and they enjoy their customers like they are friends.

The second time when I was here, they remembered and treated me like I was their friend.

So I really recommend the place. Will definitely come back when I will be in Rome.

Thanks...

My favorite meal from my whole trip to Roma! <3 The ambiance here is lovely and unpretentious, just a true, no frills Roman trattoria. There were mostly locals eating (always a good sign), but the menu had English translations too, which made things easier. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. It definitely gets busy around 20:00 or 20:30, and it seemed like everyone else had made reservations. I hadn’t done my homework and showed up hoping to walk in (big mistake), but it worked out. At first they told me they were fully booked, but when I mentioned it was just me, a table for one, the guys at the front (maybe the owners?) talked it over and somehow made space. They actually split up two bigger tables and created a tiny two top just for me. It was really sweet, and they just asked that I finish by 20:00. I arrived a little before 19:30, so I think that timing saved me. Everyone after me got turned away. Their kindness honestly made my night. The service was wonderful, and the food blew me away. Everything tasted so fresh with great quality ingredients! I started with a little antipasto plate of meats and cheeses, which they were kind enough to downsize from the usual for two version so I could still enjoy pasta and dessert. That kind of gesture says a lot. The tiramisu and carbonara were the best I had in all of Rome, simple, warm, and full of that homemade comfort that makes Roman food so special. I’d recommend this place to anyone who loves cozy, genuine spots with honest, delicious food. I will definitely be back 😌♥️✨

Hands down my favorite meal in Rome. When we found this gem we were looking for where locals eat. We found it. There was a bunch of us in our party (13 ppl). Loud, obnoxious, hungry Americans. The staff were amazing. I made friends immediately with the staff. Their English wasn’t great, my Italian was non existent. Didn’t matter. They were amazing and helpful. The only thing better than the service was the food. Omg. Insanely good. I will come back to Rome just to go to this restaurant again. Grazie mille!
