Wasn’t happy with their service. Not sure if it was because I did not speak Italian. We came in, the waitress was chaperoning us to 2 tables, but I preferred a different one which was also free, but it wasn’t set up yet. I asked her for that one, she shook her head and her body language made me feel dumb as though I didn’t understand her. So we sat at the table that she directed. And later, an Italian couple came in, they went to that table and she was happy to set it up for them. ?!?!?!! I ordered Pho Bo Tai (half-done) and she said she doesn’t speak Vietnamese so she doesn’t know what that means. If a place really sells Pho, they would know exactly what “Pho Bo Tai” is. It still is satisfying but the flavors are very muted. The best dish was definitely the banh kot! It was crispy and had refreshing veggies (nice break from all the pasta and pizza!). The banh cuon had minced beef which isn't traditional, and the rice roll was too thick for my tastes. The papaya salad was very good and had a lot of yummy shrimp crackers to eat it with! The pho was again just not very spiced but it had the right idea. The ambiance and service was great though! Happy that there is Vietnamese food in Rome, but wish there was a way to make it more...

I ordered the tasting appertizers combo option, a beef pho, and pork vermicelli. The appetizers were the only dish that were acceptable with some banh cuon (steamed rolls), egg rolls, and banh khot. The different sauces come with these appertizers were a small plus.
Beside those appetizers, the pho flavor was not authentic, the broth is very mild, and the noodle itself was also a no. The pork in the pork vermicelli was hard to chew and its flavor has a strong hint of lemongrass.
Although the only plus side of this restaurant is their extremely friendly, patient and...
