Must stop in Rome for cocktail and whiskey lovers! Speakeasy style - easy to miss if youâre not looking. Ring the doorbell left of the garage door that Google leads you to.
Iâm from Louisville Kentucky (the bourbon capital of the world) and my wife was kind enough to include a stop here on our honeymoon.
Being from bourbon country, I have high standards when it comes to whiskey and these guys did not disappoint. The whiskey selection is great! Not a ton of bourbons, but they did have some bottles that I canât even find back home and enough of a selection to keep me excited for hours. Their scotch and Japanese whiskey selections were great. They had some antiques and rare bottles.
Great cocktails paired with great service (Alessandro is fantastic- he went off-menu for us and even made me and Old Fashioned exactly how I like it) made for a perfect evening. The owner was wonderful, too, but we missed his name.
Iâm surprised it wasnât busier and doesnât have more reviews. The ambiance is perfect - nothing beats and underground, dimly lit cocktail experience!
Oro is a must stop for cocktail lovers and for whiskey connoisseurs your time in Rome is not complete if you...
