The meal I had there was literally one of top 10 meals of my life. My cousin got the lasagna, I got the sage butter ravioli, and then we tried the Panna Cotta and tiramisu. I swear we were tearing up. Like, literally tearing up. The place is so cute, the owners are really friendly, and even though they do not speak super good English, they're really nice. Seriously, I legit would have my wedding reception there. I never write google reviews, I am not from this people's family nor have I invested in their restaurant, but not sharing this culinary orgasmic experience with the world would be a crime. I have no shame to say that I licked my plate (but I'm very shameless in general). We promised ourselves to come back to Rome just for this. It was so good I literally felt a little bit high after. And during. In summary, sweet family vibe, amazing food, good prices, you won't regret it. It made me want to write poetry, but the words wouldn't even do justice to that lasagna. Maybe I'll do a...
Read moreGreat little gem of a place near the center of Rome. Food was great and the vibe was more homey and local. My girlfriend and I chanced upon it while walking around the neighbourhood, and had a wonderful dinner of the Carbonara and Saltimbocca alla Romana, plus the pana cotta con frutti di bosco for dessert. It was simple but very authentic and delicious affair. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great non-touristy, authentically Roman meal!
I did see a lot of the other reviews being more negative on the service, but we were pleasantly welcomed, treated nicely, and served pretty quickly. I also think they are a smaller local place making great authentic food,so it'd be unrealistic to expect full 5-star service - and I would be willing to cut them some slack.
Grazie mille, and see you again when I'm...
Read moreGiving this place 5 stars even though the service was a bit slow. Why? They told us off the bat that they were short staffed, running behind, and that they were closing soon but would still serve us if we would like to sit down. We did that just that, and indeed it did take a while for our food to arrive - but it was worth the wait!
The server was very friendly, spoke English, and put up with our endless questions about the menu. The food was worth it like I said. The pasta was fresh and perfectly Al dente. The sauces were great and fresh, with beautiful flavors. My spaghetti alla carbonara was quite salty, probably wouldn't order that again. But the pappardelle with peas and bacon was amazing - great texture, great flavor! The prices were up there, but we didn't mind paying for good food. We left...
