We are staying right next to the Vatican and wanted to avoid touristy fare....looked hard and found this place.
Fantastic....got there pretty much 30 mins after opening and glad we did because everyone else that showed up was turned away. Very small, very personal and very authentic.
Food was top notch, rustic and good perfectly. Had fettuccine al sugo, cacio al peppe, chicken and potatoes and the lentil stew...all excellent.
The sound of roast chicken and potatoes doesn't sound super exciting. But it was incredibly delicious. Fall off the bone chicken and the potatoes were so good...I eat them off my wife and sons plate.
We would have stayed for dessert, but our jetlagged kids crashed and we had to get the check and leave.
