Poldo Panino League Roma — Restaurant in Rome

So it was my first time in Italy, I went to Venice, Sorrento, Almafi Coast and then Rome. I tried several sandwich shops and this was by far the best. I even went to the more touristy places which had LONG lines and weren’t that good! There should be a line out of the door for these sandwiches. I am from America and so badly wish there was one here! I don’t eat pork so the turkey option was phenomenal. My family tried the other options of pork and loved them as well. We went back 3 times in 24 hour period! Wait was a little long but it’s warm and they toast it sooo good it’s worth it. We stopped in as we happened to be walking back to our hotel and noticed the legendary player jerseys they had on their walls. Everything about this place is 5 star worthy. I wish I would’ve gotten the man’s name who helped us yesterday, but he made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. The paninis are an amazing burst of flavor with every bite, and the bread is perfect. We had the pitbull and soldatino and they were both amazing. Exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a quick and affordable sandwich place, but it turns out this place had some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in our entire Italy trip. They had a lot of variety so at first we are a little concerned it wouldn’t be good because it ranged from traditional sandwiches you’d find outside Rome to fusion of other types but every single one we got was great. Everyone in the family was able to find something that they enjoyed. Getting to watch them freshly slice the ingredients was an added bonus.
