You'll get no hyperbole from me. I've worked in restaurants for over 18 years and I am usually a pretty harsh critic, so I don't say this lightly- this is some of, if not the stand out, best food we had during our four days in Rome.
The way Andrea forbid me from taking Amaro before eating, the way he spoke dearly of Salento, and the very, very honest and high quality of the food made us want to make our next trip to the hometown of this place we adore.
The first day we visited, we ordered the Marco and the Olga, both had super fresh and creamy burrata, with a light Agricola beer and a cedrata(like a lemon soda). The second visit, which we went out of our way for because we only had one day left in the city, we ordered the Cesarea and Surbo sandwhiches, as well as the Orecchiette Della Nonna con polpettine.
I have to stop here to emphasize how good the bread is. It is typical puccia(I think), pizza dough bread that reminds me of the lightest, crunchy yet soft English muffin or medium/thin crust.
Anyway, all of the big and mini meat balls, as well as their huge Gin and Salento based amari are amazing. I wish I could buy these back home, but alas!
Thank you, Radici, you were a treat in a sea of uncertain choices, and we will happily return to your Rome location, and look forward to...

The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the eggplant lasagna. Layers of tender, perfectly roasted eggplant, rich tomato sauce, and creamy cheese came together in a harmonious blend of flavors that left me savoring every bite. The portion was generous, yet every mouthful was so delicious that I found myself wishing for more.
Complementing this delightful dish was a glass of their house sweet red wine. It was the perfect balance of fruity and smooth.
The service was equally outstanding. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine they were serving. Their recommendations were spot-on and added to the overall wonderful experience.
Radici is more than just a restaurant; it's a little slice of Italy right in the neighborhood. Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a memorable meal with friends, this gem is the place to be. Highly...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed my meal here! Our hotel was close by during our stay in Roma and we found this spot while walking through the neighbourhood. Very nice service and friendly staff who were more than willing to explain their menu to two anglophone travellers. The sandwiches seemed like the most popular items here so we elected to try the Rosella (olive paste spread with sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella) and prosciutto sandwich (self-explanatory). Both were delicious but I personally enjoyed the Rosella given my deep fondness for olives. For those who don’t mind a bit of saltiness I’d highly recommend this. On this breezy spring afternoon we dined outside and it was truly the most relaxed I’ve been throughout our Euro trip thus far. Wish I could bottle up that feeling of culinary satisfaction with a refreshing spring breeze in the peaceful patio. Trees were just blooming as well, with it’s colour adding to the spring vibes on this afternoon. The perfect setting for the perfect...
