Torrefazione Ciamei — Restaurant in Rome

Extremely rude staff. I walked in at about 19:45, not realizing they were closing soon. I was just looking around for the menu when the lady with dark hair, who was cleaning the espresso machine, suddenly started slamming things around. Banging the machine for no reason, knocking over tools… it honestly looked more like she was trying to break the machine than clean it.

I went up to ask when the shop closes, and she didn’t say a single word. Just held up 8 fingers. I asked again, a bit confused, and she repeated the same gesture, still silent, now staring at me like I had just shoplifted something. The energy was so openly hostile, I just turned around and left.

A few moments later, she stormed out of the shop, threw some trash bags to the ground, and muttered something under her breath. She was visibly angry.

I get that maybe she had a bad day, but that doesn’t justify acting like this toward customers. I never even got to try their drinks, and honestly? After that kind of treatment, I’m not...

Locale sempre all'altezza della sua fama, ogni volta che passo per piazza Vittorio la visita è obbligatoria non solo per il caffè a dir poco paradisiaco vista la torrefazione adiacente ma per tutto quel che offre specialmente il pomeriggio dove posso fare un ottimo aperitivo a prezzi davvero bassi per una qualità così alta nei prodotti e nel servizio. Personale sorridente e disponibile oltre che molto alla mano. Penso sia il miglior posto in cui bere un buon vino a prezzi davvero unici in questa zona. Non è collocato sotto i famosi e riconosciuti portici ma l'aria di condivisione e allegria che sprigiona questo posto vi farà dimenticare di tutto ciò che avete attorno. Innanzitutto nel centro storico di Roma trovare dei prezzi così contenuti per fare un buon aperitivo è ormai impossibile. Vino ottimo e stuzzichini altrettanto buoni. Bellissima anche l'atmosfera nei tavoli e nella location, perfetti per fare due chiacchiere. Personalmente ho sempre bevuto vini rossi e non sono mai rimasto insoddisfatto, anzi Francesco il proprietario e il personale sono sempre pronti a consigliare il miglior vino a seconda anche della stagione e dei gusti. I bicchieri di vino partono da un minimo di 5 euro e le porzioni non sono per niente misere come ogni tanto si vede in altre enoteche e pub, sopratutto nelle vicinanze dove servono vini dozzinali mentre da Ciamei si percepisce subito che la qualità é un must, le bottiglie invece partono da un minimo 12/13 euro compreso il servizio al tavolo e hanno una vasta scelta di vini, bianchi e rossi, non mancano poi i rosati per soddisfare ogni tipo di palato.
