This is a popular Chinese restaurant with a kind of rustic canteen vibe, outdoor and indoor seating. It specialises in mainly Cantonese food, with clay pot rice casseroles, noodle dishes, and dim sum small plates of dumplings, buns (steamed or grilled), soups, congee, bubble teas and snacks. I had the hearty congee (rice porridge) with 1000 year egg and pork meat, perfectly garnished and accompanied with the classic yiaotiew (Chinese bread sticks). This was totally satisfying on a chilly evening. The grilled meat-filled buns were also filling and savoury, The meat/herb-filled Chinese pancake was disappointing because it had been made earlier and sat in a display case all day. Reheating it on the grill just made it soggy with oil, floppy and bitter. Neverthess, the staff were great and very helpful as we communicated between Italian, Cantonese and English. The Chinese-Italian guests sitting next to me told me that this restaurant is famous among Chinese locals, and I believe it as I've also walked by before when it has been busting with people, a mix of Asian and European younger and older generations. I'll definitely go back to try other things on the menu. They also deliver and can be found on...

It started out alright, had some language barriers to overcome as the waiter speaks Italian and Mandarin but no English at all. Fair enough, we speak a collective of 9 languages but not one of those. We managed the best we could to order drinks and food.
First issue was that we received something we didn’t order, no worries, it was just the one below on the menu. We ate it just as is.
Second issue came when the food was hard, especially the chicken feet were way too hard. We told the waiter and they went to steam it.
Worst issue came afterwards when we received the dish again but still way too hard and no joy at all to eat. One of us tried to explain it to the waiter in a limited Mandarin and the waiter replied that if we don’t like it, we shouldn’t eat it and then said we couldn’t do anything about it as we couldn’t speak the language and left laughing (very) arrogantly. (Yes, we can understand...
Read moreI rode by this place a few times on my way to various locations around Rome and always noticed the steam rising off of patrons’ dim-sum. I was super hungry one evening and didn’t want to go too far, so I came here. I’m really glad I did.
This restaurant has really good hot & sour soup with tofu, pork dim-sum, chicken curry, and more. Even the rice was unusually good. This is classic Chinese dining at its best. They even sell Peking duck!? Where the heck can you buy that in Central Europe?
Everything was delicious and expertly cooked. You’ll need to be proactive getting the staff’s attention because they’re a little understaffed. Other than that, I highly recommend this as a respite from pasta while in Rome.
PS - their boba ain’t great. That was the only sub-par...
