When we walked in we were excited to try something new. The waiter sat us down and then came back about 15 minutes later to take our drink order. We asked for sparkling water. It then took another 15 minutes to get still water when we asked for sparking in the first place. Then we waited for our food and everything tasted good, but I tried calling the waiter over a few times and he never came. I made eye contact with him and said excused me and waved my hand over but he never came. Then he never checked in to see if we needed anything and we didn’t have the chance to change our water to sparkling water. Then I asked for the check and when I got it, we were being charged 5 euros. I asked what the charge was for and one of the other waiters told us it was to use the table cloth, forks and plates. It’s fine but I have honestly never seen a charge to use the utensils. I don’t know if that’s normal or not because that’s the first time I’ve ever seen that from a restaurant. I never complain at a restaurant or have written a review before but I just couldn’t believe it. I have never felt like this at a restaurant before. We left and could not believe the experience we had. It was very...
Read moreWe've just had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant and we enjoyed it so much! 🔝 My husband and I are both pescatarian vegeterians, and we spent an amazing evening, enjoying the food at the restaurant. Our waiter was courteous, kind and a true professional, whose recommendations made all the difference for us. 🙏🏻 💞 We ordered the Fiori di Zucca and the Tartare di Pomodoro Con Stracciattella for the both of us- it was divine. ✨️ For the main courses, my husband had the Spagghetone alla Nerano ( yummy) and i ordered the Baccalà Pomodoro Olive Capperi- deliciously A-m-a-z-i-n-g!! 😋 I also relished my dessert: the Lemon cake- in one word: Wow! Delicate, soft and simply perfect, and my husband loved his Tiramisu. 👍🏻💝 We highly recommend dining at "Il ristorante da Enzo" and we will definitely come back! We were so busy eating and enjoying our meal, that i forgot to take pictures of the dishes, but i can promise you that it was our pleasure to dine there 🔝✨️ Compliments to the chef 👏👏👏 and Thank you for a delightful evening we will...
Read moreWe began our honeymoon in Rome and had a wonderful first 3 days. People could not have been more friendly. My wife spent many days researching great local restaurants in Rome and found this place. We arrived behind 3 lovely German women who were asked if they had a reservation, to which they replied, "no." They were seated within 5 minutes. However, when we spoke with the host and said we had no reservations, another server tried to seat us. The host spoke in Italian to the server and said "no......(couldn't understand) Americanos." We then were completely ignored for the next 10 minutes. Another patron started speaking about how "Americans don't care about family." At that point, we'd had enough and strolled over to another bistro where we had wonderful food and wine. Word to the wise, beware of this establishment if you wish to be treated well. I understand the need to keep a culture intact, but to be rude to Americans just because we are unfamiliar, is unnecessary. A euro is a euro....
