Dining at Le Bantù ROMA was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—warm, attentive, and deeply professional. The staff made us feel like honored guests, not just customers.

Even the bathrooms were spotless and beautifully designed—clearly, no detail is overlooked here.

Mio marito è senegalese, siamo andati in questo ristorante per trovare un po’ di cucina africana di “casa” , ma il cameriere è stato molto freddo e quasi offensivo già dal nostro ingresso, ci fornisce un menù senza prezzi e ogni piatto che ordiniamo “lo boccia” senza spiegare il motivo e sbeffeggiando un po’ la nostra scelta, chiediamo un consiglio si rifiuta. Mio marito ordina del riso con carne, ma il cameriere ci porta un cereale speziato che non era riso con pesce fritto, quando facciamo presente la cosa in maniera molto gentile sicuri di uno sbaglio in buona fede, il cameriere sostiene di non aver sbagliato l’ordine ma quando gli facciamo vedere la foto sul menu senza prezzi si convince non porta via il piatto va a parlare con lo chef, al suo ritorno sostiene ancora di avere ragione e dopo circa mezz’ora di andirivieni dalla cucina senza arrivare ad un punto, ci comunica che lo chef si rifiuta di cucinare il piatto che abbiamo richiesto noi. Nel frattempo io ho ricevuto la mia portata e mio marito a digiuno. Dopo circa altri 15 minuti per un totale di 45 dall’arrivo dal piatto sbagliato ci arriva un piatto con riso smangiucchiato e un pezzo di carne fritta che non era minimamente quello richiesto, con il cameriere che discute in francese con mio marito. Siamo rimasti molto male, bastava dire che non c’era cosa desideravamo ma essere trattati così è stato veramente tremendo e la nostra domenica romantica si è trasformata in un pranzo indigesto e fastidioso.

Al momento del conto la sorpresa 85 euro con un finto sconto per l’accaduto e un insulto in francese dopo la transazione con la carta. Un vero peccato.

we got here at around 9pm on a weekend. the waitress guided us through the menu items and gave her recommendations since we're not familiar with african cuisine. the seafood was great and well-spiced, though the spinach was too salty and spicy for our liking. the salad was pretty good but the other appetizers were dry and flavorless :( the fish was really good though, highly recommend! the wait time was a bit long but not unbearable, and the waitress and overall atmosphere of the restaurant...
