Quality of the food is worse than average but you'll pay a lot of money just for the location. Waiter was rude and seemed bothered that we were not ordering the items he was trying to recommend. If we did, the bill would have easily been over €500 for lunch for just 2 people! The waiter was trying to recommend a bottle of red wine over €250 without showing us the price. We ended up spending €220 for 2 salads, 2 spaghetti dishes, and 2 small bottles of house wine. I've honestly had microwave food that tasted better. To make matters worse, the waiter was rushed and he spilled a glass of water on me as he was picking up the table. Expensive, unfriendly, worse than average food, shady tactics. I was in Europe over 6 weeks and enjoyed all restaurants except for this place. The restaurant looks nice, inviting, and is well located but the food quality does not match the presentation. I don't mind spending a lot of money on fine dining and good quality food but this is not good quality. They know you're a tourist that will never return to that location again so they don't care about the repeat business and instead try to make as much money as they can before you leave. If for some reason you still want to eat here, make sure you verify the price on anything they recommend because this is how they attempt to rip you off and add hundreds of euros to your bill. I ate at much better places in Rome for a fraction of what they charged...
Read moreLove this ristorante. It’s at the piazza at the top of the Spanish steps and to the right, piazza della trinità de’monti, away from the crowds. Food is incredible. We have several courses for dinner here when in Rome. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE POOR REVIEWS. The pasta is intended to be just one course of your dinner…. I had pasta with bass in the sauce. The budget is about 99€ per person but it’s worth it. We have never had a dish, cocktail or even bread that wasn’t 100% good. And we have eaten here several times - we have dinner here every time we are in Rome, generally at the beginning AND at the end of our trip. Last year the Calabrian waiter introduced us to amaro, which is now love. 👌Great views also. Real waiters, friendly, excellent service. It’s not a place to stop for a coffee or a quick panino. We have always eaten dinner outdoors on the terrace, but they have an absolutely beautiful, elegant dining room. It is a great place to have a fancy dinner experience in Roma. ...
Read moreWandered pass and stopped to look at menu. Got speaking to the head waiter and we decided to seat and eat. We were not very hungry so just wanted a main course. We were recommended two house cocktail of the evening and we took them. Our mistake for not asking the price. €12.00 for a glass of sangria. We ordered two main course and one starter. The vegetarian meal came out with parmesan cheese all over it so it had to be sent back. They did not seem to know that parmesan is not vegetarian and we felt challenged when they question us. Bread was put on the table that we did not ask for. But later charged €3.50 for. We asked for water but it was clear that it was not a freshly opened bottle €3.50 as there was a crack on the top. We had 1 starter 2mains 2 drinks and 1 espresso and the bill came to over €90.00 This was the one and only disappointment of a 10 day trip to beautiful Italy. In short it's just not...
