Rosso Vivo Musei Vaticani - Pizza Bio di Grani Toscani, anche Gluten-Free — Restaurant in Rome

The food was good. Why 1-star? They hate tourists. The service was atrocious after our food was delivered. The pizza was good, drinks so-so; we ordered 2x Aperol Spritz which was too sweet but no big deal, that's not why we were there. After we ate, we watched our server repeatedly walk by us ignoring us. So we called her every time she passed, and she kept ignoring us. 3 times we called her and she pretended not to hear. We finally flagged down another server and she seemed annoyed and muttered under her breath "okay they want their check!" There were only 2 other tables inside so it's not like they were so busy they couldn't bring us the bill for the 30 minutes we waited. Finally after they brought us the bill, we watched our server ignore us again for 15 minutes, walking around finding busy work to do (wiping down already clean tables, straightening chairs already straightened, etc). We finally got up to pay and she motioned for us to come to her at the counter instead of her bringing the wireless payment unit to us like she did other customers. No idea why. We were friendly and polite, and even made an effort to say thank you and please in Italian. We also noticed a 2-euro service charge per person on our bill. Again, no idea why; not sure if that's standard, but it left us suspicious. There's lots of good pizza in Rome, you don't need to go someplace hostile...

Fantastic pizzeria! We were really impressed they offer gluten-free pizzas that are absolutely delicious and classic.
