Lets talk about it! Can this restaurant expand and have locations all over the world! While visiting Rome, I wanted to try different foods other than what Rome is know for(sorry Rome) and this place came up. Cozy place, hidden gem, that has amazing food. You can tell that the family behind this place put their heart and soul into everything. They are kind, helpful, teaches you about what you are eating and helps you make the right choice on what fits your taste palate. This is my first time having Venezuelan food and I am hooked! The empandas oh my gosh, amazing! The bread is like a cornbread with a subtle sweetness and then the spices and seasonings of the chicken. Wow! And then I took it a step further and order a side of guac to dip the empanda, amazing! I enjoyed the food here, and I came back again before I left Rome. I would have came everyday, if we would have stayed closer to the restuarunt. Those with me had aerpas and they were a good size. My family loved them, I wish I had a chance to try them, because my family did not share lol! Prices were good! Capriso chatted with us and made us feel like we were at home! You have to stop in and try this food. Its fresh ingredients and authentic...
Read moreIt is sad to see how this place is getting stuck, the first time we visited was last year, we understand that they were new so it is really small just a few spots to seat and eat fast, we return last week and the place was empty, we were 3 we made the order then we asked if is possible to use the bathroom the guy told us that there is no bathroom. How a restaurant would be able to attend customers without a bathroom?? We have to walk to the coffee shop in the corner to use the bathroom. We we return we have to wait about 15 min and one dish arrived, after almost 30 min we asked where are the other two plates? The guy said it’s coming… after more that half hour the other two arepas arrived. My friend asked for any spicy salsa and he said yes we have but you have to pay separately. 🫣But we were really impressed that the arepas were soo small nothing like the first time, so in a conclusion, all this time this place didn’t improve at all! I am sorry but it is not worth...
Read moreFRESH! We stummbled across this place on the way to the Mercato (Supermarket). We missed the closing time at the mercato, so made our way back here. Good sign as it was on trip advisor. They were quiet so in we went. 1 Enpanada and 1 payacone (maize tortilla stuffed with beef fresh tomatoe avacado) ordered. The young girl said it would take a few minutes as they cook their food fresh. What a nice change. After chatting with the staff for a while mum and dad walked in ... more chatting. A short while later our dishes arrived hot fresh and fantastic to taste. The enpanada was stuffed with black beans and cheese. Well after chatting some more we watched our next dish a Pabellon ( a thick crepe stuffed with slow cooked beef, grilled plantain, black beans and cheese). All washed down with a nice bottle of red. This is a great! family run buisness and they will see us again. If you find it, we do not think you will be dissapointed. It is also on...
