Stunning atmosphere with supreme crab sushi!

After a lot of research, I found this sushi place on Google maps that looked good. I am a huge lover of sushi and eat it in every city I visit. It didn’t disappoint at all. I had:

Mr. Crunchy Roll (with crab) - was 9.5/10, they nailed the taste. Highly recommended if you like crab sushi.

Nagoya - 7.5/10, to be honest this is not the best eel sushi I ever ate but it wasn’t bad either. It was very decent but it lacked that eel spice, was a bit too gentle for my taste.

Service is really good; waiters are attentive but don’t intrude on privacy. Atmosphere is VERY intimate, it’s dark inside and very romantic, you have a feeling it’s just you and your partner in a restaurant. Top notch decor.

All in all, will be coming back here!

Keep in mind that urumaki is at around 20€ per 6-8 pieces and nigiri is also around that so it’s not the cheapest option but it’s definitely worth it for me, great value for money taking into...

We had our concierge make reservations for our party of 4 but we were seated partly in the hallway. The restaurant was practically empty but they insisted no other better tables were available--this after three staff consulted each other. We left and walked around the corner to Aurora dell'Aurora, a beautiful warmly lit restaurant full of people. The maitre d immediately indicated two beautiful tables to us--one of which was in the main dining room and set for 10 people. They immediately rearranged it for us as soon as they had the slightest hint in our body language that we preferred to be at the larger table--including separating tables, removing chairs and table settings with wine glasses--all swiftly and seamlessly. We actually would have been quite happy with the other beautiful table too. But what a contrast, such sensitivity vs.such...

The restaurant opened at 8 and we were the only ones there. The staff asked if we had a reservation and, as we did not, they said we could sit at the bar. We were seated all the way in a corner. No one was there when we got there, no one was there when we left, but they had to squeeze us into a corner in order to make room for the flood of customers. We then proceeded to get a bottle of water (€4), a very small Coke (€4.5) and 3 sushi rolls (€20 EACH). €70 later we walked out still hungry. This was not even close to the best Sushi I have ever had. You are paying for the location, the overabundance of bored and too good to be serving anyone waiters (of course, that describes all of Italy), and the fact that this is a "Jaguar Lounge" and there are advertisements on virtually every surface - one would think that the advertisements would lower the prices,...

Almost none of the waiters spoke English. So the staff argued a little who should wait upon us. Finally one of them decided he wanted to practice his English. The menu was only to be scanned as a QR-code at the table and no dish was explained in English. No paper menu to look at. You have to be familiar with the Japanese kitchen to understand the content and names of the dishes. Quite expensive too. We left without ordering anything. The two young couples in our company stayed to give it a go. The waiter kept forgetting them when they wanted something to drink. The sushis were fine though because they knew what to order. Very loud techno music, so it was hard to have a conversation. We will never come back again.
