Went here twice. I'll start with the food. The dishes I've tried were: ragu with pasta, white ragu with spaghetti, meatballs with potatoes, duck marinated in vinegar, avocado salad, chesse platter, bruschette with 4 diferent toppings. Everything except the main dishes was great. The main dishes were not to my taste and lacking a lot in flavour and spices. For my taste everything was too bland and basic. It was well prepared but I barely finished my plate. I think that the combination of ingredients and flavor is out of balance. My main concern is that when I was with my colleague it was pouring outside and the waitress rushed us out after we just finished our meal. The restaurant was emptyish and there was no need to kick us out in such a hurry only because of the rain. In a lot of countries that you might get visitors from, it's very rude to kick people out of the restaurant just after they finished their meal not to even have time to relax after a meal. Definitely want to point out such behavior. One more thing I've missed is that the meals are more affordable than the rest of the restaurants around so, if the kicking out part would get solved I would...
Read moreWe visited Terra di Siena upon a friend’s recommendation, and I must say — it turned out to be a truly delightful spot. Since we weren’t too hungry, we opted for a caprese salad, truffle ravioli, and a glass of white wine.
Let’s start with the caprese: hands down, the best one we had during our time in Rome. The mozzarella was real buffalo mozzarella — fresh, creamy, and full of flavor.
Now, the ravioli deserves its own paragraph. Words fail to describe how incredible the truffle sauce was — absolutely divine. Easily one of the best ravioli dishes I’ve ever had. It was so good that we even considered ordering the gnocchi, but the staff honestly mentioned that they don’t make it in-house. However, they get it from the same trusted source as the ravioli, so I imagine it would be excellent as well.
To finish, we shared a tiramisu. It was good, though a touch too sweet for our taste.
All in all, a cozy place where you can enjoy high-quality Tuscan flavors in the heart of Rome. Highly recommended for those who appreciate well-crafted...
Read moreI was in Rome last year around this time and I came across a business card from Terra di Sienna this evening. I went with a girl from my hostel to check out Piazza Navona and we found the restaurant after following a friend's advice that the best food is fifty meters from the major tourist attractions.
Terra di Sienna is my Roman dream. It's light-toned wood decorations, the twinkle lights illuminating the tables outside, and it's charming staff really made my last night in Rome spectacular. The lasagne I had was delicious and the prosecco was refreshing as well. Our waitress was patient and friendly and the little street is quiet, but still lively and interesting. I love Rome, and little places like Terra di Siena call me back each day I'm not there.
This would be the perfect place to propose, announce a pregnancy, take a date or a friend, or relax for a little while. It's a feast for the eyes, the tongue, and the heart. Thank you for...
