Came here for my last dinner in Rome on the recommendation of a tour guide I had, and I was glad I did! I ordered an arancini, bruchette, a diavola pizza and tiramisu. The arancini was perfect; crunchy well seasoned outside, gooey melty mozza inside. The brushette was on lightly toasted fresh bread, with enough olive oil and salt to complement the toppings without drenching your hand in oil. Sweet and fresh tomatoes, good balance. The pizza was one of the best I had in Italy on this trip, with perfectly stretchy springy crust (as seen in the video), spicy Calabrese and a good tomato sauce. If I had a criticism, I prefer a little less tomato sauce on my Napolitano style pizza so that the centre retains more structure, but not really a complaint but a preference. Lastly, the tiramisu was very good, not too much booze, light and creamy. Beware when you breath in, if they dust too much cocoa powder on top you could have a coughing fit on first...
Read moreThis was quite literally the best pizza I'd ever had by a longshot! I'd tried Neapolitan pizza once before in the UK but even that paled in comparison to this! Naturally, me and my partner knew we were going to be spoilt for choice for food in general-especially pizza, when visiting Rome, and having eaten pizza at another 4 or 5 places during our stay this was on a completely different level to the others! We ate here twice during our stay and both pizza's we tried were out of this world, we also had a few starters and they too were amazing! Being from England i was almost welling up on our last night having this pizza, for the simple fact when I got back to England I knew that I'd probably have more chance of winning the Lottery than getting a pizza of this quality again! Honestly I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! BEST...
Read moreThe food is 5/5. Awesome caprese and awesome pizza, especially the special ones, since we ordered 1 hot and spicy with nduja and one with zucchini.
However, the day after we wanted to have just a drink at 10pm since we were returning from the tour and the restaursnt is located scross the (narrow) street. The restaurant works untill 11pm. The staff flatly refused to serve us just drink amd ice cream, somewhat arrogantly stating that since we didnt eat, we have no right to order just drink and desert. Therefore, the fact that we left a hefzy ammount of EUR the evening before didnt seem to botjer them (and the place wasnt packed, nor was it rush hour). Therefore, 2/5...
