We walked by and saw the restaurant was very full so we checked out the menu which was rather enticing, then we asked a couple of patrons on their way out what they thought. They said it was one of their personal favourites and we could not have made a better decision. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted sincerely with warmth and friendliness as our server, Umberto, was brilliant in seeing to our every need as he laid out the menu choices as well as the nightly specials. They did not disappoint in any way, nope.. not at all!!! I can be a pretty fussy eater at times and ate every lick of food off my plates.
As good as the food was it was also about the atmosphere and the pleasant energy of the joint. Kudos to this long established venue (1970) as they embark on their new culinary path, just launched this past April. It will only get better so we can highly recommend that you give it a try. The tuna steak was breathtaking; the thick cut, external fry and the warm but raw center was in perfect balance. The scampi risotto was divine. It was so creamy and packed full of umami. The portions were really generous and their cocktails were also really nice. It's a shame we couldn't try their dessert since we were full by then. The service was really friendly and a great place for English speaking tourists. Would visit this place again next time...
Read moreThree of us went here last night, we all had steak which was ok. But my wife said the mojito was vile, two of us had a drink of Blonde beer it was disgusting and undrinkable. But being from the UK we didn't say a word and said everything was fine. I'm only putting up this review as both me and my friend have been up all night with sickness and diarrhea, Which we can only put down to the lager.
