My experience at Tiepolo was one of the best that I had during the duration of my stay in Rome. We were initially looking for one of the "best places to get coffee" according to a website that our party had done some research on but it was shut when we tried to visit it. Instead, we walked into Tiepolo just when it was coincidentally opening and asked for a table inside. The two people who were working in the shop at the time were very friendly and were more than happy to translate what some of the items on the menu meant in English as it was written in Italian. If I remember correctly we ordered 1 expresso, 2 cappuccinos and 3 other small dishes that all came quite quickly and for only around 23 euros. I had a piece of bread with avocado and salmon that was coated in a light dressing. The amount of avocado and salmon was surprisingly large and was certainly worth the amount of money we paid, I enjoyed this dish a lot. The other people in my party received other dishes that were also satisfactory and we left Tiepolo more content than we could have expected as we had not looked at any reviews or done any background research.
