STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
beware of hidden charges. I was lured in with cheap entrees, but they don’t tell you that they charge a 3 euro PER PERSON “cover fee.”Also, I didn’t want anything to drink, but the waiter was very rude and told me that I “was in a restaurant” and i needed to buy a drink. He suggested I buy a coke, which wound up being 6 EUROS!!! In what world is a single glass of coca cola 6 euros??
service was awful from beginning to end; i often wondered whether or not the staff even wanted us to dine there. I thought about just leaving, which i should have done. Leaving would have spared me the outrageous cost and the lousy food.
The food was edible, but not very good, and certainly not worth the amount I paid in secret fees and overpriced drinks (i think the cheapest drink one could order was 4 euros). Honestly, I’ve had better Carbonara in Vienna for much cheaper.
To me, this place seems like a trap for hungry, unsuspecting tourists. They show cheap entree prices outside and then hit you with exorbitant prices in every other aspect of your meal, forcing you to buy overpriced drinks and sneaking in charges for basic things like “table cleaning.” I’ve never had to pay to eat on a clean table before; maybe that’s a luxury at this restaurant.
It is too late for me to get my money back, but it’s not too late for you. Do justice to the victims of this horrible restaurant and stay away...
Read moreDidn’t eat here but just walked passed their kitchen on the back, there was this young cook who has a similar age as me (probably also a teen) greeted me then made fun of me mockingly mistaking where i originally came from ethnically based on my appearances.
Then people in the kitchen laughed.
I wasn’t offended, but this is some rude, ignorant behaviour that’s out of order.
we just went away & ignored it, i said “hi” back in my real language (Tagalog), not the staff's mocked up & sarcastic-ised Mandarin which isn't my language but it is still impudent & insolent.
That young guy did it likely because there was barely any1 around as it was in an alley.
Staff unwelcoming & dismissive to a holidaymaker/traveller.
Other users' reviews mentions about the staff's low quality attitudes in this establishment.
even tho the young cook mistaken where i was from, it's still inappropriate & abruptly unprofessional...
Read moreAverage food, but what really stands out is the service. Grumpiest two waiters I've ever had the pleasure dealing with. From the off, they ignore you when you sit down, no rush, I think, this is Italy enjoy the atmosphere... Including them shooing out a seated group as well hey had a dog. Then when you flag them after 15 minutes, they drop the menus in front of you with such insouciance it could be an Olympic sport. No drinks order to start. The older fatter one seemed offended my son didn't eat all his bruschetta so loaded with humus that a dump truck would struggle to contain the volume. How one screws up spag. carbonara I don't know but if gelatenous gloop is your thing you're in luck. Otherwise tortellini is a packet capeletti and I need not go on. Asking for the check/bill means being pointed to the back, twice as you didn't understand the first time, and all served with an attitude camels...
