Trattoria La Fiasca — Restaurant in Sirmione

Two evenings ago I made a reservation here. It seems like it was the worst choice I could have made. I ordered fried seafood, which turned out to be pieces of fish from the lake, some just fat, they came with fried vegetables, including onions that I asked them to remove. I told them that I don't mind the oil in which all the vegetables are fried, just for me not to put the onion... they put it and I removed piece by piece from fish chunks.But that was not the worst... I also ordered pasta, I some simple with fresh tomatoes, absolutely modest in taste, but my husband ordered some pasta with white sauce. It was the only meal I had that day, and unfortunately for my husband and the last one in the last two days. He had indigestion, food poisoning that has kept us stuck in the hotel room for two days already, with intense abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea. We can't blame it on anything else because we were on the road all day and that was the only thing he ate, and it's the first time we've experienced this in all our travels... From my point of view the restaurant is expensive, the food is tasteless but it can ruin...

AWFUL PLACE!! First night in Simione we sat down ordered drinks a very unfriendly woman gave us the menu our drinks came,the lady came to take our order I have chrohns desease and realised there was nothing I could eat on the menu as it was very unusual. The lady got very aggressive when we told her that we did’nt want to order, she told us we had to eat,eventually after making us and everyone around us feel very uncomfortable a very rude younger man then came out and slammed the bill down, and they had the cheek to add a service charge! We payed the bill and were told to leave and not allowed to finish our drinks they we’re standing around us quite threatening! These sort of people give restaurants in Lake Garda a bad reputation not the sort of place you want to go for a nice evening.Both the lady and the waiter need to learn some manners and respect for other people! A splendid recommendation from the lovely staff of Casa Scaligeri, this is a wonderful example of a proper Italian Trattoria. The food was delicious, we both had the prawn with ginger risotto as an entrée and I for one could have eaten a bucket of it as it was so nice. The main course was a fish dish, perfect again and beautifully presented, and the pudding course didn't disappoint either. Service was the usual Italian standard which was excellent: (British restaurateurs; you need to send your staff to Italy to learn how they do service so well, attentive but never intrusive, there aren't a queue of people asking how your meal is, yet when one is ready for the next course they appear at precisely the right time.)
