Antica Gelateria Sorrentina offers an unparalleled gelato experience that stands out even in a country renowned for its frozen treats. The variety of flavors is exceptional, but what truly sets this establishment apart is the quality of the gelato. We had the pleasure of trying the Lemone di Sorrento, Amarena, Tiramisu, Pistachio, and Crema Amalfitana, each providing a unique and delightful sensory journey.
The Lemone di Sorrento is a zesty affair that captures the essence of the Amalfi coast, while the Amarena boasts a luscious balance of cherry and cream. The Tiramisu is a sublime interpretation of the classic Italian dessert, and the Pistachio is rich with natural, nutty flavors. Last but not least, the Crema Amalfitana is a divine blend that pays homage to the local culinary traditions.
The staff is attentive, ensuring that each visitor enjoys not just the gelato but also the overall experience. A visit to Antica Gelateria Sorrentina is not merely about satisfying your sweet tooth; it’s a foray into Italian culinary artistry.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, high-quality gelato in Italy.
Recommendation: Don’t miss out on their signature flavors for an unforgettable gelato experience.

Read moreAbsolutely amazing! This is not just gelato, but a truly authentic experience. We were warmly greeted by grandma who insisted on giving us unlimited samples and then seating us at a beautiful little outdoor table, the hustle and bustle of the world going by. All of the gelato was fantastic. We especially loved the lemon. The dark chocolate and coffee were likewise fantastic. The portions were generous and the prices are very good. We also have the pleasure of talking at length to the attentive man (son) who invited my niece to come behind the counter for a nice photo. We enjoyed it so much, we will go back tonight for more. The spritz looked fantastic, so we may try that it as well. What a great find. Go here! You won't regret it. Amazing fresh homemade gelato, and you are treated like...
Read moreTexture was good, flavor was pretty good (I had the pistachio), but other than that, this was a big let down. Maybe this is the best gelato in Sorrento, but if that’s the case, there is a very very low bar. The flavor options were quite traditional and limited - borderline boring. Felt like a tourist when ordering, especially when going to pay and being charged $3.50 for a small when their sign clearly read $3. After consistently amazing gelato experiences throughout Bologna and Rome recently, my expectations are lifted to the true potential of how good gelato can be. Back to back poor experiences in Sorrento and I’ve resigned to the fact that gelato is just average in this town. I tossed most of this gelato away along with my desire to ever...
