I have no idea how this place has 5 stars. We got the calamari and shrimp basket. Seriously the worst calamari I’ve ever had. It was rubbery, tough, breading had no flavor…was like a tempura batter. The shrimp tasted old and fishy. I expected so much more from sorrento and a place that had such good reviews. We couldn’t even finish it. Place was empty when we went at 7 pm…that should’ve been our first sign! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Response: we were there Tuesday night and you were definitely open. Long curly hair guy working. I have no reason to lie about going somewhere. We were hesitant but went bc of your reviews. Left this one so others didn’t get tourist trapped like we did....

The staff are very accommodating and explain everything to you, helping with sauces and drinks from the ice cold fridge. The food itself is lovely, all local fresh seafood from the nearby sea, you can't go wrong. Our calamari and prawns were lovely and the chips were crispy and hot. Everything came for our table fresh and the presentation was lovely in little newspaper cones. All food is reasonable and good worth for your money. 100% recommend as a light or heavy lunch or maybe a later snack if you've been out drinking and maybe haven't...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this restaurant the owners are amazing, and they care about celiacs truly. I’m not celiac but my husband is and he wanted to try fresh fish fried and that is impossible to find pretty much anywhere we go! But then we found this hole in the wall and wow. I personally was skeptical and thought “Ugh I’ll try it but how could this gluten free be any good” but then I tried it and WOOOOOOOOW. Probably the best damn thing I ate in my trip to sorrento. I wish I ordered more and could take it home to Canada with me. Such a lovely lovely place for celiacs...
