I rarely ever give bad reviews bc I don't like to complain, but this was an exception..

My girlfriend Vanessa and I love traveling together around the world. Vanessa has been in the service industry for over 10 years and we are always polite with servers and hard working people bc we know what it's like.

We had planned a trip together with other people to Pompei and Sorrento. It turned out we could only stay in Sorrento for one hour and decided to go to this highly recommended ice cream shop.

The woman was very rude from the beginning when we gave her the ticket after we bought our cone and cup of ice cream. I am Italian and my girlfriend, who is Italian American who speaks proper Italian, asked in proper Italian for our flavors properly...

She gave us BOTH the wrong flavors and basically shoved them into our hands. After wrongly reading the ticket and trying to give my girlfriend a cone of ice cream when it clearly said cup; and then scoffed at her when my girlfriend kindly pointed out that she ordered a cup of ice cream.

Being from Italy, I know what good gelato is, and the taste wasn't even that great either...

What ever happened to smiling? You may not like your job but you are ruining the experience for those of us who are visiting Sorrento.

Highly recommended NOT to go there and if you do... Beware of the angry woman with dark straight hair in a...

This Gelateria was recommended to us by our guide. We stopped by for a gelato and a coffee. We explained to the owner (Antonio) that my niece has an anaphylaxis reaction to peanuts and how sure he was that there was no chance of contamination. Despite being confident that several flavors were made separately to ensure there was no cross contamination, Antonio took the extra measure to make a fresh batch of Fiore di latte gelato, especially for her. The resulting gelato was absolutely delicious and smooth. My niece stated that this was the best gelato she had ever had. We can second her opinion, that ours was also the best we have tasted during our three month tour of Italy. This is a great example of "above and beyond customer service ". Thank you Antonio. He didn't have to do that, and it shows how much he cares.. so kind! We recommend that anyone in the Sorrento area must stop by and experience Antonio's Gelato. Bonus, the coffee and pastries were also delicious. The price was comparable to any other stores in the town center. I have taken a look at other reviews and can concur that the "woman " mentioned and complained about is unfortunately true. We also felt she was short with us and passed us off to Antonio. This should be addressed as it is negatively impacting the customer experience and...

So, i came here with my sister to get a crepe and i was heavily dissapointed with areas of their service and the food. It started with going and getting the ticket for the crepes nothing wrong up to that point but as we get told to give the receipt to the woman that sorts the crepes she seemed quite busy, we walk to her and show her the receipt and we get told to wait and she will do our crepes next, we waited and waited and she never made them, when we went and asked she stood in the doorway and answered that she will do it now, then told us to move out of there way of the entrance and we complied. then waited for it and the 1st one came, but to our dissapointment it was poorly made and frankly seemed rushed, the 2nd one came and it was wonderful but made by another member of staff. Dissapointed with the level of attentiveness to a short queue of people waiting for a fairly quick desert, which in turn somehow they managed to push it to a 20-25 wait for a frankly poor desert. Would not reccomend the crepes but i cannot comment on the gelato and the...

Amazing! Probably the best gelato we had during our trip. Antonio Cafiero, one of Italy's premier chocolatiers, completely unassumingly sat in a chair sipping coffee, talking to another man. It would be a non-event to witness that, until you turn around and see his picture as he is delivering a Gelato cake to the Pope, another with the Guinness record for the largest cone ever served and many more. If you are in Sorrento, you have to stop and have some of his creations. With so many flavors and choices, I had to give up and asked the girl behind the counter to build me one with what she would consider to be the best combination of flavors. It was amazing! One thing I noticed, locals were getting charged less for the same items than tourists. Not a big deal, just a couple of Euro, but absolutely worth it.

A fabulously quirky gelateria, nestled on the Corso Italia in the town centre. Gelateria Preimavera offers more than just ice cream but also sorbets, waffles, crepes and cakes. The choice of flavours and styles are simply huge. The staff are really friendly and proudly display the famous faces who have visited their establishment over the years which adds to the quirkiness in a fun manner. You can buy to take out but you can also sit and enjoy a coffee as well - all whilst watching the hustle and bussel of the town. There are plenty of Gelaterias in a crowded Sorrento, but Gelateria Preimavera stands out in the crowd.

We adjourned here for dessert after lunch elsewhere and it was a great way to end off lunch. This place has an insane variety of sweet goods from ice cream to pastries to cookies it is heaven for anyone with or without sweet tooth. We had the lemon and tangerine gelato (request for more tangerine so that its not overly sour) with caffe latte and it was truly the best dessert combination. Oh my gosh the gelato is so fresh good and memorable that I actually enjoyed this dessert more than the food i had from lunch. Seating is at the back. Highly recommend! A great way to rest. Please visit if you are in Sorrento.
