Possibly the most stunning location in Sorrento to enjoy drinks and the sunset. We discovered this place whilst looking for sunset drinks. You need to make a booking prior at the main entrance before walking down. It is also a minimum spend of 25 euros per person in your group, and the prices of drinks are on the very high side. However it is honestly worth it. You cannot beat the views of the coastline, Mount Vesuvius and the Mediterranean Sea. It is also an unbeatable locating for the sunset, with unspoilt, prime sunset viewing. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly, regardless of how much you are spending. We enjoyed the venue so much, we ended up spending several hours here. Overall an amazing visit and we highly recommend going to. We booked on the day and were seated immediately, so do not worry if you cannot book prior to the day of visiting. The staff all speak excellent English, so do not worry if you do not speak any Italian. The area also had a live singer, adding to the stunning ambience...
Read moreWarning, pay the cheapest drink for min 25euro spend, watch sunset and get out. Do not order bar food!
We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary here to watch the sunset, a pre-dinner once in a lifetime experience drink. Ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio 70euro and something with meat and cheeses, 43euro. It is a stunning view of the sunset, I give it that, but the experience, overrated. After the initial service, we were left with our bottle far from reach with no one to pour our drinks so we had to stand up walk to get it and the wait staff moved it closer so we pour ourselves. Then came the 43euro/Aud$75 ham and cheese sandwich with potato crisps!. It was disappointing. Definitely an unforgettable albeit underwhelming experience. We ended the night with a 16euro lasagne each and oeronis at Frankie's Pizza Bar where the service was way more attentive and food was far more rsimple, ealistic in orice but...
Read more[Warning: strangely, there are 2 restaurants of the exact same name in Sorrento. This review is for Terrazza Vittoria at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria.] We found this restaurant by surprise, randomly walking looking for a place to have lunch, on our way back to Rome. As we entered the beautiful, long, and manicured garden, we could already imagine the exquisite restaurant waiting for us ahead. But even the widest imagination was far from reality... As we entered the spectacular and panoramic terrace, I felt transported in a movie from the 30's. Sitting on top of this 180 degree wide, and perched high terrace, the classic balusters and white statues contrasting with the azure blue of the sea, offer breathtaking and magical views on the bay of Naples. The restaurant itself is elegant with impeccable service. I would rate it as one of the most romantic experience...
