Ristorante La Lenza — Restaurant in Syracuse

So I'm going to be very honest about this place seeing as the reviews that I saw (in my opinion) do not paint the correct image

The food was okay, we ordered the Mercato salad (which wasn't bad actually, just needed to be dressed better), the linguine and clams was quite tasteless and needed a lot of salt, the pasta norma was nice but the pasta was extremely Al dente (more than any other place).

Now, what really irked me about this place was the service. The gentleman was quite good with us but even then, everything was slow. I understand the restaurant was busy (I myself work in the hospitality sector) however the service was practically non-existent.

When we were ready to order I had to raise my hand just under 10 times (and I'm sure they were seen by the head waitress/manager almost every time) yet we were ignored. After ordering with the gentleman, we waited a while for our food and when we saw others receiving bread + oil/balsamic we wondered where ours was. We weren't given any until l had to physically get up and ask for it, even when a waitress came to us with it previously but just walked off. I tried to flag down this waitress multiple times but each time she looked at me and walked off (until as mentioned, I had to physically tell them)

Once I asked for the bill, they brought it along with the card machine lightning quick. I barely blinked and they were at the table! Priorities I guess

Food was average, atmosphere is nice but...

10/10 Si no quieren leer todo lo que escribí quedense con que le recomendamos 100 × 100 comer en este restaurante.

Al principio, dudé en entrar al restaurante debido a la falta de reseñas en Google, ( error porque no siempre hay que dejarse guiar por las reseñas ) pero tras conversar con una de las chicas del personal, descubrimos que el restaurante había abierto hace apenas un mes. No nos arrepentimos en absoluto de haber dado el paso, ya que la experiencia fue excepcional. La atención que recibimos, especialmente por parte de la chica que nos atendió CARLOTA ( you are the best ), fue espectacular. Nos guió a través de las diferentes preparaciones y opciones de pescado, y la verdad es que tuvo mucha paciencia yo no soy conocedora del mundo de los pescados así que tuve que preguntarle muchísimas cosas y ella le respondió con toda la Amabilidad y dulzura ., disfruté mucho de su recomendación y explicación detallada. Y sobre todo saber que usan productos locales .

El servicio fue impecable y la comida deliciosa. El restaurante cuenta con una ubicación excelente, justo al lado de un pequeño mercado, lo que le da un encanto adicional. , recomiendo este restaurante sin reservas. A pesar de que hay muchas opciones en la zona, este lugar se destaca por su excelente servicio, comida deliciosa y acogedor ambiente. ¡Una experiencia gastronómica de 10 sobre 10! We had a couple of amazing starters :grandmothers meatballs and some Cheesy croquettes . The seafood risotto was incredible (and we live in Spain and are used to great paella), the octopus on mashed potato amazing and so fresh, and our son’s carbonara absolutely spot on. Everything cooked fresh so worth the wait and great atmosphere with the street market. Definitely the wow factor we know Italy for. Fair price for...
