Caffetteria Belvedere — Restaurant in Taormina

Just awful. The view is nice but honestly the view from anywhere on the ampitheater is just as beautiful. 12€ for a tiny bottom shelf hugo spritz in a plastic cup is highway robbery, especially after you have to pay a 14€ entrance fee just to get inside the ampitheater. Walked in the cafe and stood there for all of literally 10 seconds, when the staffmembers started staring at me rudely and pressuring me to order something, very clearly impatient. Kind of hard to decide what to get when there isn't a menu anywhere. Possibly the oddest encounter we've had in Taormina so far....

Great experience, lovely food and people. Feel like home, choices of freshly squeezed juices and amazing quality of all kind of traditional Italian food. Friendly people who make you feel like home here in Italy. I got allot of deserts, small bites and juices. Will be back when I’m in the area. Impeccable caffe, spotlessly clean, modern and amazing selection of sweet and savoury. Service was pleasant and helpful. Very reasonably priced for the location and well the views feom the patio are outstanding. How could you moan about supporting this historic venue when you can see all that you do! In england you would pay 2-3 timea as much without these...
