Actually only popped in for a coffee but that soon changed and we found ourselves sat in a really nice, family type environment, eating local dishes and sampling home made beer. Very reasonably priced and I have to say filling dishes. We then finished off with a Turin local drink called Bicerin which is a combination of cold coffee, chocolate and cream and is very nice indeed. We love going off the main tourist trail and finding new places and this didn’t disappoint. Whilst it had tourists popping in it very much seemed to not appeal to many, maybe because of the simplicity of the place but that gave it its charm. Read moreI realized after ordering the aperitivo that I was not in the correct restaurant. I quickly spoke with the waiter/barman and told him I wanted to pay for my drinks and cancel the food order. He said no, he already put the order in so it’s too late. The overpriced plates arrived cold and inedible, and appeared to have been prepared many days ago. There was nothing hot or made to order on the plate, no reason it could not have been cancelled right after ordering. The incovenient was when we ordered, the waiter practically forced us to order the touristic menu for all 4 of us, after we explained that it would be too much food for us and we do not want it and even after that, after il primo piatto (which obviously hasn’t been fully eaten) we asked them kindly if it’s possible to take it away and they said yes.
