We arrived before opening on Wednesday, (a day of extraordinary opening because of the holiday season). It was well worth it to be early and first to enter. Walking into the cozy, candlelit room was magical.
•The bicerin and plate of biscotti were tasty. •The cafe itself is small and elegant. Dining outside on the piazza is fine, I’m sure, but I feel fortunate to have sat inside. •The little shop on the left side is where you can buy cookies and chocolates for souvenirs and gifts. •Service was quick and polite.
**An important note: I disagree with the reviewers who call the service curt and cold—when you run a cafe that almost always has a long line of people outside, you must be quick. Moreover, the server we met was very nice to us, and I’m pretty sure I even saw her take a baby’s binky/pacifier to wash after it fell on the floor. True hospitality.

Read moreFor a microscopic place that it is, their service is lethargic and painfully slow! two waitresses that seemed lost most of the time. I mean why are u so confused about who ordered what? 95% have ordered a bicerin. Is it really rocket science? Despite arriving at the front of the queue we waited another 15 minutes till one by one tables emptied out - we along with another 3 couples finally entered! What's wrong with occupying a table as people get up n leave? As in any normal restaurant? Once we entered "oh the second table from the left. Oh no wait third from the right". Guys. There were only couples. All tables are for two (three at max if u add a chair...) What forsaken difference does it make if we sit here n another couple there? Thankfully their signature drink is tasty, but nothing u can't find around Turin. Completely overrated and not...
Read moreThe Bicerin is a traditional hot drink made of a mix of hot chocolate, coffee, and unsweetened cream on top. You have to drink it without stirring it, and without sweetening it, as the staff will very firmly advise you. We chose to try the one accompanied with typical cookies. We paid 9,5 euros for each serving. The place is very small, with crowded tables, and the staff is not very welcoming. Their tone is very commanding, and even if there were many free tables they crowded us four in a table for two. At our side some minutes later sat a couple of Elders, and the staff wasn't very welcoming with them either. The guide advises to try this drink, but in my personal opinion is not so great and the manners of the staff don't help in warming the experience. Moreover it's a bit pricey. However, a visit...
