I came to have a breakfast despite of the negative comment on Google maps. It turned out that they were right. As someone who also trained and worked in restaurantion, I was disappointed. The service team was extremely lack of professional training. Their movements were not effective and fast enough which makes them look like they were pretending to be busy. The result of this problem is that we were told to wait outside for almost ten minutes unnecessarily. And the whole waiting experience was not welcoming at all. The waiter talked to us and other costumers from a long distance and did not even lift his head to have eye contact.
As to its producut itself, the general impression of the dessert and croissant is they were not fresh. The dough of braid filled with pistachio was not buttery enough. This wouldn't have been a problem. But when it comes to the braid design, the lack of butter made the whole texture dry and hard. The rest of our dessert hardly deserve a good impression either.
I said so much probably because it really gave me a bad impression at the beginning for thier poor service, I was hard on them. But also, it is because I believe with the fancy kitchen and heritage, they could have done...

Entering the restaurant you are met first by a very nice host and then by an amazing room. You are shown to your table and expectations are set high. We select the "New traditions" tasting meny to get the new take of traditional Piemonte food together with the wine meny. What we then are served can only be described as a complete and utter failure. Dish after dish comes in which is ill-prepared and quite tasteless. One in the group cannot eat cream but smaller amounts of cheese is fine. This is informed at the start of the dinner. He is then served courses incorrectly and even missing some of the smaller courses without being offered an alternative. We make it clear a few times during the dinner that we are not happy with what we are served but when the bill arrives they even charge for the coffee. After complaining to the manager (and him checking with his manager) we are given a smaller discount which doesn't really help. Up to now the review is 1 star, but the extra effort to give us a tour of the kitchen and the big wine cellar gives them an extra star. However, I cannot recommend anyone...
Read moreThe history in this restaurant sets the space. Many people don't realize that the formation of the country we now know as Italy, the first capital of Italy was not Rome but Torino ... The politicians and statesmen who formed the country met here to dine and negotiate the unification and formation of Italia 🇮🇹🇮🇹
When I was living more full time in Torino, our home was just a few blocks away from Del Cambio.
A best recommendation of the restaurant can be that when we got married in Torino, we hosted our post marriage celebration dinner at Del Cambio.
So, the restaurant. Elegant, refined, traditional from the moment you walk in the front door. The wine list is extensive and of course is deep in the Piemonte regional selections. The kitchen prepares perfect upscale renditions of the local Piemontese traditional dishes. Simple polenta is raised up a few notches, and get the vitello tonnato as well as the brasato if on the menu, every visit should include the agnolotti.
I have had many memorable moments celebrated at Del Cambio over the years, and the lieu dignified the importance of those events every...
