Al Canton sas — Restaurant in Venice

We could not stay away from this place during our stay in Venice! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the sandwiches and cappuccinos are amazing. We loved coming here to sit outside and have a casual drink (beer was always served with potato chips - a lovely addition to the experience) or a light lunch. Drank a few delicious local beers here and devoured some complimentary crisps while sitting among the students and older locals outside. It's a bit out of the way, but the bar staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed. My only complaint? The opening hours. Al Canton shuts up shop in the very early evening and doesn't even open...

We randomly stopped for a coffee and honestly we loved the place. It was morning and we had coffee in the sun on their terrace, the service was the absolute best that we had in Venice - an extremely friendly and funny guy - and it had the best possible local vibe, as it was frequented by locals.
