The food was good, not the best we had in Venice, but high quality. And they had a nice large romantic outdoor area to sit in.

However, after the main course, we got the feeling they were trying to rush us out, at least at first. We told them we wanted to finish our (mostly full) glasses of wine before deciding if we wanted to have any dessert. The waitress brought over the dessert list, left for 2-3 minutes, and came back while our wine glasses were still half full to ask if we wanted dessert. We told her we still hadn't looked at the menu because we were still drinking the wine.

Then the service got really slow. We had to wait 10 minutes after deciding what dessert we wanted before we were able to flag someone down to order it. The espresso I ordered didn't come until after we finished the dessert and I reminded them about it. Then it took 10-15 minutes to flag someone down to tell them we wanted to pay. We were told someone else would bring us the bill. 20 minutes later we still hadn't gotten the bill, so we flagged another person who told us to just go up front. All this while, people we waiting with a line out the door for a table.

We we finally got the bill at the register I enquired about a 4€ charge I didn't recognize. I was told it was a cover charge. For a restaurant? And we weren't informed of this prior to entry.

You could probably do worse for a restaurant in Venice, but you can also...

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had!! After going from restaurant to restaurant we finally managed to get a table at Nono Risorto. I appreciate they were very busy but they did still gave us a table for 9 which means they are willing to accommodate. I had my 5 years old son with me who was very hungry as we had been walking around for hours trying to find a restaurant to eat at. As soon as we sat down we wait about 45 mins to be offer any drinks, at which point my son started to ask for just water. So we called the waiter over to ask for water. We were ignored. My son at this point started to complain that he was really thirsty and asked for water again. I waited and waited and the waiter kept ignoring our table. I then stood up and took my son to the to the front bar and asked for water. I was in disbelief when I saw the waiter pick up a half drunk bottle of water that he cleared off ANOTHER table, pour it into a glass and hand it to my 5 year old!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!!

THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

I did not ask for anything for myself but some water for my 5 year old son that was so thirsty he started crying out of frustration.

No apologies offered, no...

Not worth my phone memory for photos, but worth a few cents here I hope.

Served us a basket of bread (with a bottle of olive oil), which we INTEND to politely reject as we don't feel like having it. The attendant response was, "You are going to pay for it anyhow, whether you take it or not." Okay.. we have not speak out our intention YET and that's your response? Cool attendant(Mark the sarcasm)!!

Fine.. since she insisted that the bread should stay on the table, so we waited for her to be free (quite a while, since it's a busy place) to ask for some vinegar to go with the bread and olive oil. Her response was, "Oh!!! You saw what the next table has and now you want it too! You see, we only serve what you need here."

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Your little judgemental gestures among you and your colleagues when we were waiting for our table, your little comment of paying for the cover charges and now this?! Oh come on!! If I'm having the bread, I like it with a bit of vinegar and what's wrong with it?!

We did you a favour by swapping to a 2pax table from our 4pax table, where you initially seated us, so you that you could put in your next waiting 4pax customer and this attitude we got from you is...

Long story short, nice pizza and very weak taste recommended foods (lasagne, steak) with a very rude worker. Food: 1. Carbonara pizza and prosciutto pizza were nice, I would say they were tasty. 2. Octopus salad and squid ink thingy in the recommendation were also nice. I can recommend them. 3. Lasagne and steak tasted almost nothing. Sure, steak was fine with some table salt, but lasagne was not really acceptable. Overall, I rated 4 stars. Workers: 1. One guy was really nice. I would say he tried his best. 2. However, one guy was really horrible and he said wait a moment three times, but never came. This made us stand up and approach some workers from our side after 20min of wait. It's really ashame. Anyways, without any exceptions, workers including the guy with his nice job didn't notice people trying to order foods/drinks generally. Overall, I rated 2 stars, but very close to 1 star and left no chip.

This was one of the stops on a food tour I took and I was so enamored by the restaurant I decided to come back for my last meal in Venice. On the food tour I enjoyed the spaghetti pomodoro which was so simple yet complex I could have licked the plate clean…or scarpetta as they say in Italian. On my “last meal” visit I enjoyed the porchetta and artichokes as my antipasto and the carbonara for my first. (I’m so full I won’t have a second. I sat outside in the garden and reflected on the beauty that is Venice and the incredible time I’ve had in Italy. This was a fantastic representation of everything I’ve learned about local traditional foods…respectful, classic preparations with incredible skill and nothing fussy or Avante Garde. My food was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and it’s exactly the way I wanted to spend my last day! Grazie mille per la cena perfetta!!!

We followed the suggestion on Google and had our first dinner here on our second day in Venice. We ordered all the typical food in Venice like baccala, sarde in saor and spagetti al nero di seppia and of course couple of pizza. The baccala was soooo good. Highly recommended. We ordered blue cheese pizza, which is also really good. The vibe of the restaurant is chilling out and soft. The service is fast and friendly. We came during the rush hour with reservation but they still managed to arrange the table in their beautiful garden as requested for us. Because the first experience was so good so we came back on the following day and noticed that their carbonara pasta was excellent.
