Venice was the last stop on our vacation in Italy. There were a lot of Murano glass shops throughout the city, but Luna Darin's glass shop was an eye catcher for us.

As we walked by we seen her hand crafting a piece for her shop. We stopped and walked in, and we had a great conversation with Luna, about the art pieces she created by herself and with her parents.

We purchased several items, including a couple of candle holders created by her dad, and a beautiful art piece hand sewed to canvas, and displayed in an antique frame, by her mom. We also purchased several glass magnets, a necklace, and a bracelet, and a Venetian glass beads book.

If you are ever in Venice visiting on vacation, please stop by Luna's shop, her hand crafted, one of a kind, art pieces are genuine and authentic, and come with a rich history of Murano glass making by Luna and her family. This is a very, very, very special glass shop, which is completely different from the shops on this street that sell mass-produced glass souvenirs. Every exhibit in the store is designed and fired by the owner himself, referring to the forms of real insects and animals. Talking to the owner, you can know the story behind each glass product inside, and he has been working hard to make glass better. Here, you are no longer buying just a piece of glass bought in Venice, but the craftsmanship of the glass merchants in Venice. My Venetian friend (Cecelia) took me to Luna’s shop, where I met this dear lady.I was in heaven as I selected several special beads to bring home to use in mosaic artwork. What a pretty little shop filled with treasures! She is a second generation bead maker and learned from her father.
