Bar Caravellino — Restaurant in Venice

Honestly, a bit of a letdown. We planned to go for aperitivo (snacks) and drinks. We were informed we had to choose something from the menu, so we picked the pizza margherita. We ended up getting snacks complementary, which was nice, although they were really stale (cold chips that taste like they were out for a week). The pizza we ordered was clearly frozen and reheated, and the cheese on it was plastic - quite upsetting for 3 strands at 8 euro where you can get much better nearby for the same price.

The service was still decent, and the drinks were okay. Although, the prices for a lot of their drinks are quite high compared to nearby bars (generally 2-5 euro more per drink, though some were priced well).

Overall, it was okay just for drinks. We may have just chosen the poorly getting the pizza but I can only review based on our experience. I probably would not go back based on the drinks costing more than those in better nearby locations, but I guess it’s not bad if you are nearby and want somewhere...

This is a hotel bar that just happened to be right next to where we were staying. It was a great place for us to end at night and the people were very diverse, extremely helpful and fun to end the night with. We only sat at the bar, which to be honest is a rarity in Venice if you like bar seating. The staff was absolutely amazing and really fun to talk with. They were very engaging in conversation and made many drinks that were not in the menu for me to try. This is definitely our go to bar in the area if we visit again. I had a party of dozens of people pouring into this place for hours, and all of us had a wonderful time. We were able to drink, eat and have a good time all around. All of this was possible thanks to the excellent service of the three servers that were attending to us there; Olga, Anastasia and Adriana.
