CHANEL — Local services in Venice

I am utterly appalled by the level of service I received at this so-called luxury store. The staff working here has a completely misguided perception of themselves, believing they embody the very essence of luxury. Unfortunately, their actions spoke otherwise.

During my visit, I made several inquiries about various bags, only to be continually told that they were merely samples and not available for purchase. To my utter dismay, when a group of Asian customers entered the store, one of the staff members promptly offered them the same "sample bag" I had inquired about, clearly intending to sell it to them. This blatant double-standard left me in shock and filled me with disgust.

As if that wasn't enough, the salesgirl had the audacity to inquire if I was still interested in purchasing sunglasses. When I politely declined, she rudely rolled her eyes and disdainfully walked away. Such unprofessional behavior is absolutely deplorable and should not be tolerated at any establishment, let alone a supposed...

I can't remember one worse experience in a luxury boutique. The staff is so rude, from the door to all the way upstairs, not a smile, nobody to say "hello" or "welcome. I was in the store a few days ago, wanting to buy a pair of shoes, the assistant was so rude!! I literally took the shoe I was interested in buying and just touched to feel the fabric when the assistant came towards me and said "do you really need to do that? the material is very delicate".. well, yes! When you are about to spend 700 euros on a pair of shoes, touching them and possibly trying them on is part of the process. I just walked out immediately without buying anything. Overdue review! I have visited other Chanel stores over the years in the UK and never been happy with the service and had never made a purchase. I went to Venice for my birthday last year and visited the Chanel store to see if I would feel differently. We were greeted by Beatrice on arrival and the service provided was incredible! I made my first Chanel bag purchase and tried on some shoes and other items which I hope to purchase in the future. Beatrice was so amazing I don’t think I would want to make my purchase anywhere else! I was even given a birthday card with my purchase which was such a lovely touch. Very happy with my experience and I have changed my mind about the brand and hope to make more purchases...
