Had the WORST experience here. Went here on our first day in Venezia and it just ruined our mood all day long. I was looking for a loo because my parents really needed to go, and I KNOW well that ONLY customers who are allowed to use toilets in restaurants and cafes in Italy.
I ask the barista of Osteria Dei Sapori whether they have a customer toilet, and he answered that I need to buy at least an espresso in order to use the toilet. I said I wouldn’t mind to buy one so that my parents could use the loo. But this barista didn’t understand what I said and he repeated - with blatant annoyance in his tone of voice - again that I HAVE TO BUY A CUP OF COFFEE at least. So I bought one and another accompanying cake, and still the barista was being rude to me. Meanwhile, he was being friendly to a customer next to me.
Would never return to this osteria and wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit. Dear barista of Osteria dei Sapori, please FIX your attitude before you...
Read moreThis place is horrendous! The spaghetti with seafood are precooked and warmed up not the first time before they will bring it to you, that was confirmed by the staff eventually. The seafood smells like a lard and beef whatever God knows what there is inside. In case of cooking on the same pan "sharing is not caring" if you cook all together because anyway those tourists will eat all anyway... So the conclusion - try it at your own risk, may be you will get lucky to get freshly cooked meal. Also the attitude of the staff - they will flip and get aggressive when you say that the food is uneatable. Avoid if possible, otherwise just shut up, eat and pay, you are here just for one day (nobody cares here that it suppose to be your wonderful vacation in Venice). So sad to encounter this place i have regretted about, would be much better just eat one panino instead...
Read moreI hope my sharing my experience I will help some tourists: The place is very small and the atmosphere isn't so comfortable. There is only one boy who is both waiter and barman. Both the food and the drinks are tasteless due to the cheap stuff they are using. The waiter passed a minimum of 5 times by my table without taking my plate, and when he came, even though I put my fork into the plate in order to be changed for the main course, he asked me twice to take it off. Even if even if the service doesn't deserve it, they are still charging you 2 € for it. The 'main course' was literally 2 shrimps and 2 baby cuttlefish. The moral of the story: Better go to a normal restaurant and take a good portion of spaghetti or some nice pizza, because this place it is just a trap...
