Found this place on our 2nd night in Venice. It's still relatively new and we've never been here before. Great location on one of the busy walking streets here in Venice. Staff and hosts were really friendly and also always gave a warm welcome to our dog, who was also allowed to come inside.
It's a very charming restaurant, the kind of atmosphere and setting we like. A bit dark, nice and cosy. Easy Jazz playing not too loud on the speakers inside. A very relaxing restaurant. Nobody is rushing you with the order and you got plenty of time to enjoy your food.
The menu has lots of good and interesting stuff on it. Seafood, meat, pizza. There's something for everybody. It might cost a buck or two more than other places. But it's sure worth it. Quality of the food and its presentation are sure worth the money.
We had Seafood Pasta, Beef Filet, Slow Cooked Veal Cheeks and Venetian-style liver with polenta. Food was so good we came here every night for the rest of our stay in Venice. Everything we've ordered was of high quality, cooked perfectly. The Filet was cooked as ordered and very tender. Seafood tasted fresh and the pasta al dente as it should be. Liver was another great item, very fresh, nice sauce. A very pleasant surprise also the slow-cooked cheeks. Nice sauce and meat that really melted in my mouth. A great choice. Had a bottle of wine with that every night, we loved the Valpolicella Superiore from Aldegheri. They have a good wine and drinks list. Some Jäger or Montenegro Liquor after dinner was a nice way to end the evening (nice glasses).
We were very happy here, the host and staff always made sure that everybody has a pleasent dinner here. We will definitely come back here next time in Venice. Our new No. 1 for dinner in town. Highly...

The place is an absolute rip off, the service and the food was very disappointing. The portion size and quality was not worth what was paid. The whole place is awful, they only offered to refund the service charge, but there wasn’t much service provided in the first place. We were told the manager was coming out, after which we waited for 20 mins before going into the restaurant and asking for the bill, where we were told the manager wasn’t there. Our measly salad was €9.50, the tiny, overcooked lasagne, which lacked sauce, was €15, and along with our tap water, we somehow paid £28.50 - this was at a reduced price!
All this is bad enough, but a few hours after eating there I proceeded to throw up multiple times and developed really bad stomach cramps. It’s the only place I’d eaten so you only need to see other reviews to put together that this place with its ‘stale’ food is the most likely culprit for giving me food poisoning.

Read moreCame here with my wife for dinner, and we loved it! The restaurant had an excellent atmosphere - we really liked the decor and the plates. We started with the bruschetta sfiziosa - the bread was excellent (not too thick and not too crusty), the tomatoes were wonderful, the buffalo mozzarella was probably the best mozzarella I’ve ever had, and everything came together very well. I had the risotto del pescatore Veneziano - best risotto I’ve ever had. It was cooked just right where it had some bite left to it. The fish appeared to be a mixture of calamari, scallops and maybe some sort of fish (cuttlefish potentially?), and there were some tomatoes as well that brought it all together. My wife had the risotto salsiccia e zafferano - the risotto was well cooked, but there wasn’t a ton of flavor. Sausage was in really small pieces and the saffron wasn’t super strong. Would definitely recommend...
