The service was great but the food was awful. The pesto was made of oil and dried basil; it was inedible (the sauce was transparent and a hint of yellow with dried basil flecks). For such a simple and classic dish what they served me was shameful. It cost 11 euros, where I have eaten fresh homemade pasta with fresh pesto for less many other times on this trip. The 2.50 euro cover charge wasn't disclosed anywhere, and we have eaten at amazing restaurants in Venice that have only charged 2, so I don't know how they're justifying the premium. Our waiter was funny and attentive but also a salesman otherwise most people probably wouldn't give this place the time of day. There are a lot of bad restaurants in Venice pumping out garbage, inauthentic italian food to cash in on the boom, but there are some worth eating at for the same price if you do your research. That's the last time we make a split second decision to eat just because...
Read moreI went there with 3 friends, and the food was very good, we ate a risotto with sea food. There where 3 waiters, 2 of them were very nice and polite, but one of them was very rude to us. We asked for the wine of the house, and it was good also. We had to wait for a long time to be able to pay. At the end the worst experience the waiter rudely told us only at the time to pay that we couldn’t pay with card separately, we can only pay with one card and then pay ourselves or we pay with cash. Just ruined the night that last experience that came from nowhere, explained only in the end and very rudely, would...
Read moreStarter and the Gnocchi was okay, unfortunately the steak was basically just two McDonald’s patty’s worth of meat stuck together and way over cooked, probably the worst steak (I’ve paid for) overall, annoying to be told they’ll only take cash after you’ve eaten and are ready to go, very slow service as well, waiter got grumpy when we only ordered drinks and a starter initially, claiming they were short staffed whilst a 3rd worker stood by the menu roadside and did absolutely nothing for an hour, but admittedly that’s more of a trend here in Italy maybe we’re...
