We were strolling around the Rialto area for so long on the hunt for a local cuisine place possibly away from tourists, once we had opened suddenly onto an apparently forgotten hallway named "Calle de l'Oca" captured by the torch lanterns outside of the Casa Mia tavern. We found a super friendly environment with local people and an available table. The luck was eventually with us! We ordered a starter and a first dish each (personally I opted for a sarde in saor and seppie alla veneziana dishes) which was very delicious. There was a misunderstanding with the waiter which forgot about my dish but they promptly served another one in no time. I was sitting just in front of the pizza oven at the entrance and, being a good observer I could see that only one out of 10 pizzas actually came from there. The other ones, including the ones that my husband and I had, came from the kitchen. The dough from the pizza we had was soft, and not crispy like a fresh pizza. It was obviously a defrosted pizza!! On top of that be aware that they charge €1 person for using the cutlery + 10% "service charge" when they actually serve you defrosted pizza!!
